Well, if we didn’t have one before, we certainly do now have a tirade from Huckabee proving that he doesn’t even understand how the gubmint works. Everything he just said is so utterly fail that I can’t even put it into words…and don’t want to bother…so I’m just going to cuss a bunch and move on. Fuck turd bitch retard asshole grundle shit cooter smegma dingleberry.

More GOP griftin’ for evangelical money. Still waiting for Newt to tell us from his book tour that he’s running for President too.

No, he is a blatant opportunistic scurrilous propagandizing ethically bankrupt Charlatan.

Christ, they can’t even get congress to agree on anything. Now Huckabee wants all three branches to agree before “allowing” gay people to marry?

I’m so sure he takes the same stance on other issues like fast-tracking fracking or KeyStone.

Has this man even bothered to read the book he always claims as his guide and inspiration? Marriage is all through the Bible, and not exactly in the same manner … multiple wives, wives turning their slaves over to their husbands for sex … I could go on and on … but I have to agree with another post … a complete and total idiot!!!

Well, no, Grifter Mike, ya dumb fuck.

Even if they could, which they won’t, states would still be required to recognize the marriages performed in other states. So a Nebraska couple could marry in Iowa, and Nebraska would have to recognize the marriage.

It’s called Full Faith and Credit, you grifting gasbag of fail.

States’ Rights! Except when I disagree with it of course, like for marijuana legalization. Now where’s my televangelist money?

Let’s ask another former Arkansas governor, Orval Faubus, how that worked out for him.

So, if SCOTUS ruled an execution had to be halted due to a trial error the Governor could ignore the ordered delay because it wasn’t put to a vote in the state legislature?

Hey, “Magic Mike”, before you go down Nullification Road, have one of your interns look up “[Cooper v. Aaron”.][1] A riveting read, and it all went down in your home state back when you were down on the farm in Hope, filling up your diapers with campaign promises

A Marriage is between two people by Law. If SCOTUS says a same sex marriage ban is not Constitutional, then marriage between two people, regardless of gender, must be allowed. His polygamy argument has zero merit because the SCOTUS decision does not address that.

If the Republicans like, they can draft a bill banning polygamy. And I bet a higher percentage of Democrats vote for it than Republicans since a lot of goobers like that polygamy thing. That might be a little embarrassing for the Republicans.

His polygamy argument is because he knows that Christian religio-fascist theocrat groups are planning to file all sorts of lawsuits to try to “prove” their ridiculous imaginary slippery slope parade of horribles.

He is just whoring himself to his hardcore base - he will say & do anything if it ultimately enables him to amass a greater fortune. For Huckabee, it is now purely business. All of this crap that he says is a bit like the crap that Pat Robertson says - as vile as it may be, some where it motivates some ugly-souled individuals to put some money in an envelop and send it in to these weasels. Some where there are people just hungering to hear a call to do atrocious things to various minority groups - and if the revenue gain is sufficient - Huckabee will say it how ever it is desired.

So is following the law now something only “liberals” do? Are you going to start demonizing people who follow the rule of law? Good conservatives are above the law, right?

I think President Obama should send the 101st Airborne Division to Huckabee’s house to explain how that worked.

Yes, Huckabee needs to be called out to clarify exactly which of the many models of marriage depicted in the bible is the one he supports. He should be made to admit that he only recognizes the one that suits his prejudices.

Or else shut up about the old “biblical marriage” nonsense.
