Kelly: Is Trump a racist?
Huckabuck; No, not by my standards.
āThatās why I have to wonder, what did he hear? Did he misunderstand it?ā Huckabee asked.
CNN anchor Jake Tapper repeatedly asked Donald Trump on Sunday to denounce David Dukeās support for his candidacy, but Trump insisted he didnāt know anything about the former KKK grand wizard.
āWill you unequivocally condemn David Duke and say that you donāt want his vote and that of other white supremacists in this election?ā Tapper asked Trump on āState of the Union.ā
āEven if you donāt know about their endorsement, there are these groups and individuals endorsing you. Would you just say unequivocally that you condemn them and you donāt want their support?ā he asked Trump.
But Trump again insisted again he didnāt know about Duke:
I have to look at the group. I mean, I donāt know what group youāre talking about. You wouldnāt want me to condemn a group that I know nothing about. I have to look. If you would send me a list of the groups, I will do research on them. And certainly I would disavow if I thought there was something wrong.
āThe Ku Klux Klan?ā Tapper interjected.
Trump continued his answer without addressing the KKK.
āYou may have groups in there that are totally fine and it would be very unfair. So give me a list of the groups, and Iāll let you know,ā he told Tapper.
Tapper seemed somewhat perplexed.
āOK, I mean, Iām just talking about David Duke and the Ku Klux Klan here, but ā¦ā he said, trailing off and inviting Trump to comment.
"Honestly, I donāt know David Duke. I donāt believe Iāve ever met him. Iām pretty sure Iāve didnāt meet him. And I just donāt know anything about him," Trump said.
That last part is of course a lie.
āNot except in that interview**, is what his critics say**,ā Kelly hit back. āIt was so strange that he would say on Friday, āI disavow David Duke.ā And then when specifically asked on Sunday, acted like he didnāt know who David Duke was.ā
Journalism is Kellyās profession when she doesnāt want to call out her human friend for the obvious bullshit heās spewing. Sorry, but Megyn Kelly wasnāt trying to get to the truth here. She and Huckster are closeāsheās made that clear ever since he was employed at FOX Entertainment.
Trump must have promised Huckabee heād consider making it mandatory for school districts who receive federal funding to use one or more of Huckās āeducational historyā books he writes for little childrenāyou know, the ones where he brings up the evangelical Christian god throughout the book.
When asked about Trump refusing to distance himself from Duke on Sunday, Huckabee balked and instead brought up the late Sen. Robert Byrd (D-WV).
āLook, I know itās an incredible overwhelming fascination ā Iāve been watching this morning. But, look, let me ask you this, do you think Hillary Clinton is going to have to answer for her relationship with Sen. Robert Byrd who was an actual member of the KKK?ā Huckabee asked.
In 1997, Byrd told an interviewer he would encourage young people to become involved in politics but also warned, āBe sure you avoid the Ku Klux Klan. Donāt get that albatross around your neck. Once youāve made that mistake, you inhibit your operations in the political arena.ā In his last autobiography, Byrd explained that he was a KKK member because he āwas sorely afflicted with tunnel vision ā a jejune and immature outlook ā seeing only what I wanted to see because I thought the Klan could provide an outlet for my talents and ambitions.ā Byrd also said, in 2005, "I know now I was wrong. Intolerance had no place in America. I apologized a thousand times ā¦ and I donāt mind apologizing over and over again. I canāt erase what happened.
Huckabee: Drumpf is not racist. He is on the record saying that he loves The Blacks. I also conjecture that he has few non-White friends as he is from the immoral NYC. He is smart enough to know rapists and terrorists invading this country.
Great post!! Democrats need to point to that interview and quote Byrd, word for word.
Huckabee: āDoes anybody think Donald Trump is a racistā
We donāt THINK Trump is a racistā¦We KNOW Trump is a racist.
Its the people that Trump is racist against that get it. Huckabee has financial incentives to play stupid.
Trump can run, but he canāt hide. His day of reckoning is coming. Heās sliding past the sharks for the moment but the day of, Yes-Iām for the KKK or NO-Iām appalled by and totally against the KKK is coming.
Then he can answer to the Latinos and the Ladies. What an awesome future he has to look forward to.
Seeing how dead men are now getting talked about, letās address the livingā¦
From '15
āI want to know, has there ever been a modern debate where an argument was won by using a Nazi analogy?ā Dickerson asked, referencing Huckabeeās recent remark that with the Iran deal, President Obama was marching Israelis āto the door of the oven.ā
And of course
By the way, Huckabee was scheduled to speak in person, but he declined and sent a video tape, because Kirk Lyons, a Holocaust denier was one of the speakers.
Oh FFFS, Huckabeeās throwing out an obvious red herring. The incident speaks for itself and the question isnāt whether Trump is a racist or not, although he is. Itās glaringly clear Trump just didnāt want to reject the support of anyone, no matter how vile, and by doing that he crossed a line that no mainstream politician, no matter how rabidly āconservative,ā would have dreamed of crossing before. You could actually be a racist and that was fine with your constituents, but it was understood that nobody would publicly accept the support or verbalize any tolerance of avowed racists in general and the Klan or anyone associated with it very much in particular. Iāve noticed it many timesāthe guy might have been prehistoric in every way, dog whistles morning until night, but you talk about an out-and-out racist individual or group and it was reflexive: āI donāt want his support. That kind of intolerance has no place in America.ā It might have been insincere but it was lip service, at least, to common decency. Trump has closed the door on that era and everyone sees it and is saying so except for the most outrageous sniveling hypocrites like the Huckster.
And I havenāt even had my coffee yet. Damn. Itās gonna be a long fuckinā day.
Nice to see one GOP KKKraKKKer defend another!
Its funny how a dead man has to repeatedly apologize for something that he has always regretted.
The ONLY and I mean ONLY reason this fucker is even allowed to speak on the telly about Trump is to get the racists (for Trump, of course) who are too weak to look at themselves and their racism feeling a bit better about themselves.
Some (like Trump himself) are a tad more courageous.
Leopard print top? Seriously Megyn?
And that dog his son tortured to death had it coming!
Itās all part of her viewersā fantasy about a dominatrix-lite.
ādeep in my heart of hearts I personally believe that Donnie is as racist as I amā¦ coming from Arkansas I know a racist when I hear and see oneā The Hucksterā¦
āThe truthā? The Huckster wants to talk ātruthā? BS. The Donald knew what he was doing. He is unable to ādisavowā ANYONE that might ālikeā him. This time he stepped over the line. As far as Robert Byrd goesā¦well heās DEAD. He also spent 50 years disavowing his pastā¦what about David Duke? No? Thereās your ātruthā Mikey.
