Discussion: Huckabee Defends Trump: It's Not Like He's 'Boiling The Little Girl's Rabbit'

The girl’s parents later put out a statement saying they weren’t bothered by Trump’s teasing and said they often talk to their kids like they’re adults.

Easy prediction: The parents’ attitude will have no effect on those who can’t find something more important to hit Trump with.

And if Trump had felt under the little girl’s dress and told her he would be dating her in 15 years - the “reverend” would defend that too.

Yeah, it’s not like he’s throwing little girls into cages and telling them they’ll never see their parents again because they abandoned them.

“It wasn’t like he was boiling the little girl’s bunny rabbit…”

Or hanging a stray dog from a tree…

It’s not like Trump did this thing outrageous that he clearly didn’t do that no one is blaming him for. So the press is to blame for this fake outrage against the thing that never happened that no one is blaming the president for. Not the thing that actually happened that is not normal.

Also Trump could have boiled this girl’s rabbit and it would be the same discussion. There is no event or moral or value or line Trump cannot cross with them.

Also this is the press secretary’s daddy.

Is it just me, or is it a little disturbing that the standard for not criticizing T is “not boiling [a child’s] rabbit”? As long as he doesn’t go all “Fatal Attraction” on someone, we’re supposed to think that it’s all good?

they would say he was curled up in a fetal position in the White House and was unwilling to come out and talk to anybody. I mean, the man can’t catch a break.

Why wonder that Huck is indifferent to the anguish of a small child, when his big girl is abused in the White House every day?

No, it’s not a big thing. But COME ON, he’s talking to a little girl and he all but tells her there’s no Santa Claus. Even if she knows there’s no Santa Claus, it’s idiotically insensitive (as if you didn’t know that that’s tRump) not to act is if there is one.

As noted, what the kid’s own parents think (or say) does not matter all that much!

Well, that escalated quickly.

IIRC a schoolteacher was dropped for the same thing a few weeks ago ?

Rembemer his dystopian inauguration speech. Maybe the new motto on the Statue of Liberty should be “Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.”

See now, my reaction is why didn’t he claim to be Santa? Or at least best friends? I find that surprising. Seriously.

Mike Huckabee: Continuing to defend the indefensible. And, he has the unmitigated gall to fashion himself a Christian.

Think about it. Seriously.
