That was foolish of him, I agree, but its no high crime or misdemeanor.
Nothing this President has done is even remotely in the realm of impeachment. Nothing.
The republican base just sees impeachment as the answer when they lose the White House. Its part of a bigger pattern of showing their disdain for the concept of elections.
And Huckabee is trying to be far too cute with this. Its just another take on the approach their pundits and leaders are using. “I never said we were going to impeach him. But since I just brought up that subject, lets discuss it”

They know its not gonna happen. They are merely trying to position themselves for dealing with an angry base after the election when they don’t move forward with impeachment.
This comment from Huckabee is a perfect example of that. On the one hand he can say “Oh, I totally agree. And I am on record for saying he committed impeachable offenses”…and out the other side of his mouth he can say “Oh, I totally agree. I never advocated for impeaching the President”

So. You say Obama “has broken the law and committed Impeachable Offenses” (high-crimes and misdemeanors) and is “worthy of impeachment” but YOU don’t think he should be impeached? Why NOT? IF he has committed “impeachable offenses” why would you NOT follow the law and impeach him? Are you just a COWARD or merely CORRUPT (i.e. you "don’t see anything in it for YOU)?
