Discussion for article #235416
it’s you-know-what no.
Jesus fuck man, can’t say hell or fuck?
You cons are wound so tight it’s no wonder you spin like tops.
God knows what you are thinking anyway, but He prefers it when you say “you-know-what”.
it’s you-know-what no.
Uh oh, the YKW word…next he’ll be shortnin’ bullfeathers.
Kinda bravo, love to see populism rend the moneychangers…
Well, good on ya, Huckabee, for once! Maybe your influence among TP voters make them realize how their libertarian moneylords would screw them over.
If Huck can say it, so can a Dem, with the added message that Bush’s reform is just a way to steal your benefits to keep taxes low on the wealthy.
Wait, so the word hell is now not allowed in Christianity?
That’s a pretty big shift in the tenets of said religion.
(Wry grin)
That said, I do love Huckabee going after other GOPers on Social Security cuts. It’s a win/win in my view because it is a lose/lose for the GOP.
This actually plays into Christie’s hands.
He knows that his proposal will never become law.
His targets are the Very Serious People (i.e., the DC faux “centrist” pundits and deficit scolds) who will anoint him a truth-teller, providing a counterweight to the stench of scandal that surrounds him.
Punch and Judys…
I can’t belive Huck actually made the statement. But did he offer any plans or ideas about Social Security and other social safety net programs? Or was he just all hot air?
This feud makes sense…after all, if either Huck or Christie knocks the other one out of the race, he stands to double his support…from 1% to 2%!
Ned Flanders is right.
Also to @LoneWolf_93: This streak of his is why I was actually a little worried about him in 2008 (when he was still likeable, before he’d produced hours of ugly, hateful Fox video). Culturally he’s a nutjob, but economically he’s kinda populist.
Huckabee, stopped clock, yadda yadda.
Huckabee’s shamelessness makes for great entertainment.
Its pretty clear he’s positioning himself with the seniors, so he can step into Fred Thompson’s reverse mortgage money train.
Another reason to avoid daytime tv. If I had to look at Huckabee"s mug on those heavy rotation commercials it would kill me.
The Lunatic Party doesn’t have to lay out proposals or expand on the basic thought. It’s just a way of dinging the rivals.
Huck’s pitching a cure for diabetes. Take the herbal supplements he vouches for, et voila, health returns. He’ll leave Fred to do the reverse mortgage pitch.
Ayep. It’s the “good cop/bad cop” routine on the national stage. He’s trying to play “good cop” to their “bad cops,” bellowing about how wrong their ideas are. But when it comes time for him to offer his own ideas, the differences will be impossible to see with the naked eye. It’s how this thing works in every election, with each candidate trying to put himself out there as the “reasonable” choice.
Stopped clock, yes. But the media will refer to this constantly as showing the Huckster as being more mainstream or moderate, as contorted as that will sound.
