Let’s just go ahead and add “IOKIYAAR” to the Constitution already.
And the scum shall inherit the earth
In a nutshell, this is the difference between Democrats and Republicans. Republicans go to the mat every single time. You will have to pry it out of their cold dead hands. Democrats just don’t have the stomach to assume or keep power.
Calling himself a “changed man,” the governor reiterated that he was “innocent” of charges that he tied his former hairdresser up in his basement and took a photo of her semi-nude body to keep her silent about their 2015 affair…"
“When the GOP sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re bringing infidelity. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”
“And some, I assume are good people.” Don’t ever make that mistake - my rule for the past 30 years is NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER vote for the Republican. Has been proven true every time.
What is this “changed man”?
First he changed from a straight arrow to a crazy ambitious unfaithful abuser, and now he’s changed back? Is there a real Greitens?
It’s OK if you’re a white male repug. Funny how prosecutorial misconduct, no matter how blatant, never slows the railroading of young African-Americans into prison for life. Or becomes cause for overturning their convictions.
Classic definition of a pyrrhic victory. The GOP should be praying for this guy to be in jail as fast as possible. He is a lead anchor on any GOP on the ballot in the general election.
You mean in writing? Because I’m pretty sure it’s already an unwritten rule.
Still, the collapse of the case may not revive Greitens’ political standing.
Greitens is a Republican, of course his political standing will be fine, both with the Republican party and, after a few months, the political press.
I tend to wonder if the fact that this laughable level of prosecutorial ineptness hasn’t been called out before now tells us something about the “rule of law” in Missouri.
“I didn’t do it. And now, after the charge being brought against me and now the dismissal of the case, I’m a changed man.”
Changed how, exactly? Beat the system? Found out that destroying the evidence sometimes works? Digging in harder than ever to have things your way? Because I don’t believe there’s been any reformation. And if you didn’t do anything … why would change be necessary or good?
My guess is he’d rehearsed his “I’m a changed man” speech more than his “justice has prevailed speech” and habit took over. Either one will do. No one holds republicans or church leaders responsible for anything in Missouri.
Exactly. I mean, a hypocritical republican? What’s the surprise? But that the prosecution got caught with video evidence of perjury?
No surprise. Ever meet an honest prosecutor? I’m sure there are some out there, but not a whole lot. Unfortunately, they don’t often get caught out or nailed by a reasonably honest judge. It’s the way the “just us” system works.
He was innocent, but now he’s changed.
Thanks for being the person we can trust to give us the straight scoop: The reason we don’t realize that prosecutors aren’t honest is that judges aren’t honest. In the next installment, maybe we’ll learn why judges aren’t honest. Tell it like it is, regardless of how peculiar it looks on the basis of available evidence.
Grifters gonna grift
Greitens gonna greet?

Democrats just don’t have the stomach to assume or keep power
It’s called having ethics and moral standards. Some people have them and some do not.
