Perhaps Colleges need regulation similar to the regulation of insurance companies under Obamacare; require the college to demonstrate that 80% of tuition actually goes to salaries of instructors and professors who teach. The other cheat to go with the inflation of tuition is that colleges are using instructors to teach the courses who are temporary employees not even paid a living wage.

Where does all that money go?

This plan will only work if the government can pierce the corporate shield and get money from the officers of these “colleges”, similar to what goes down when companies steal employment taxes from employees. Sadly it will not, and in the end will be a CYA activity and nothing else.

Great idea! Now why wasn’t the same policy applied to Wall Street bankers when they gave out loans to people who they knew were going to default? Where was this idea 6 years ago? This is upsetting knowing that the Government could have and should have done a hell of a lot more.
