Well, if somehow Trump really does go all the way and becomes the party nominee, the best Cruz could hope for might be Veep under Donald Trump. Now, that would be an interesting ticket.

In some warped way, the Republicans have morphed from being a reality based, legitimate political party to this Ayn Randian fantasy, with the different candidates trying to outdo each other as to who can be the next John Galt; that is, who can be the biggest, least apologetic superman whose views are above those of the petty masses.
In that context, Trump, wellâtrumps-- Cruz all to hell. Trump is Jon Galtâthat is a large part of his appeal.

There may be some reasons Ted Cruz does not resonate:
1.) He has a Canadian birth certificate (mentioned in the Article),
2.) Despite his protestations, he has not been able to shut down the federal government,
3.) He has a wimpy voice
4.) His wife works for âWall Streetâ
5.) No matter how had he tries to deny it, heâs still a part of government
6.) His father embraced Fidel Castro
7.) The nativists he courts may not like the fact that Cruz has a Latino last name, is the son of a Fidel Castro supporter, he wasnât born here, heâs part of government, his wife works for a âWall Streetâ firm, and he has a wimpy voice that cannot be overcome by cooking bacon with bullets (something the gun crowd must have found absurd).
Other than calling Mitch McConnell a liar from the well of the Senate (and distancing himself from the âestablishmentâ he needs to win the presidency) and reading Green Eggs ânâ Ham in a failed attempt to shut down the federal government - Ted Cruz has accomplished nothing.
But he could be a good fit as running mate for Donald Trump.

The Rump makes me curious how early they start focus grouping to determine what the hot new Christmas toy will be. The one for which otherwise half-sensible people will stampede at 05:00 the day after Thanksgiving. The first election is 6 months away.

The gist is, Cruz is worse than Trump at everything, is afraid of Trump because he actually fights back and yet needs Trump because the Trump crazies are the Cruz crazies, is that about it?
And, Cruz isnât going all in because he really wants to retain his cushy government job after he tepidly flames out and goes away. Trump supporters are not Republicans, they are Democrat haters and half-crazed in general, that doesnât mean that they will gravitate to Cruz whom likes wimpy by comparison.

Cruz is not eligible for the Presidency unless he is the biological child of the woman purported to be his mother. And we wonât know whether that is so unless and until he releases the results of the DNA testing. Unless heâs her biological child, heâs just a Dreamer.

Iâm beginning to think that Presidential Candidate Donald Trump may actually be the next âlogicalâ step after Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin (since the GOP has erased out of their memory the Ryan/not-Ryan ticket).
