Discussion: How ‘PizzaGate’ Evolved From A Fringe Online Conspiracy To A Real-Life Threat

Well, he is a white boy with an assault rifle, so he will survive. Had there been a “ring” in the basement, what did he think he was going to do with an assault rifle, kill how many victims? Typical Trump supporter, no brain cells used in deciding on an action. Should be an interesting four years, seeing a glorified “host” run the White House.

Why does it always seem like republican conspiracy loons always fixate on sex with children?

Josh tweeted it over the weekend. The problem with fake news is that people will happily believe that which reinforces their preconceived notions. This guy knew for a fact “hILlarY iS EeeEEeEviL!!!1!”, thus this absurd story must be gospel truth.

And now we have a White House full of cranks constantly hitting refresh on Sputnik News.

Prediction: This kind of thing will happen again and again, so long as these whackos publish fake news.

“I reject your reality and substitute my own.”

It was funny when Adam Savage first said it on Mythbusters, but now we have a government full of people who have adopted it as a way of life.

John Adams famously defended the British soldiers accused in the Boston Massacre by saying, “Facts are stubborn things, and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.” Now our “leaders” don’t think facts exist.

During this critical period from October 30 to November 8, with only this one fake campaign news eruption, where was the media? Busy, I guess…

Or the real ones like Denny Hastert and the page boy fellow Mark Foley.

The National Security Advisor is going to believe in – and possibly act on – baseless rumors? Shudder. Al Qaeda and ISIS will have a field day!

This is the scariest thing I have read since the election itself. Here you have a false flag Jewish lawyer who is faked by a Nazi, putting out a fake news story with no real evidence of any kind. Flynn JR knows that you cannot disprove anything these days, people believe what reinforces their worldview. Facts such as zero evidence just mean a better cover-up. Nuts who act on this fake news are called false flag, so that their actions do not reflect on this nest of the liars. And a man, Flynn Sr, who will be able to take us to war, believes this crap or at least encourages it. Bad times are ahead for my beloved country.

Didn’t need to read the story to know he’s white…

If we’re not guessing the motives of a corpse… assume perpetrator is white.

Another of Drumpf’s Deplorables.

Most detailed article on the subject I have seen yet. Cannot believe NSA-designate Flynn is Tweeting this BS, and pray the media and the Senate confirmers nail him specifically on this, a la Benghazi.

Because some goofs take this shit on the internet for real?

Has anyone asked about General Flynn’s thoughts on Sandy Hook?

Seems to me the story here is General Flynn falling for and propogating a fake news story…that does not bode well for his stint as national security advisor or the safety of American’s information.

Just to be clear to DT who thinks every story that reports the truth about him is libel if it makes him look bad: This is the result of real libel and slander, the kind with real victims whose businesses and patrons are placed in real danger on account of false and malicious stories with intent to harm and defame if not with disregard for the consequences of the story’s dissemination.

Projection of their own darkest side is central to right-wing thinking, unfortunately. Not that most of them are actually pedophiles, of course – but they project their own anxieties and disturbed thoughts outward as a mode of deflection.
