small sample size, confidence intervals not listed, poor p-values throughout. So ultimately the study doesn’t really provide much useful information, but the editorial suggests that Williams read little more than the abstract.

Wake me when they publish it in a peer-reviewed journal. It’s not clear to me that the classrooms they randomized are those ones that are terribly sensitive to the quality of the teaching. Meanwhile, I’ll continue to believe that experienced teachers are necessary for a good education.
