Even if this reached Obama’s desk, he would veto it, and the GOP doesn’t have the votes to override the veto. So how is it that the wingnuts expect the GOP to repeal Obamacare?

again, how many tax dollars wasted on a proposition that has no chance of passing. additionally, isn’t the ACA gaining popularity? How does this action help or hurt election possibilities … is this the real reason Cruz and Rubio will not vote for it?

They’re doing a test run for 2017, when (they assume) they’ll have both houses of Congress and the Oval Office. If nothing else, passing this and forcing Obama to veto it nudges the Overton window, making it seem less outlandish the next time.

It only helps Carnival Cruz with HIS election possibilties in that he can say that he will NEVER SURRENDER on trying to destroy O-Care. Never. His constituents like that.

So I’m assuming that if it’s scored as reducing the deficit they’re killing the individual and employer mandates and killing subsidies. While leaving must-issue and community rating? I could hardly imagine a more effective way to force the introduction of universal publicly-administered health coverage.

True, true, true. And how we miss those freedoms!
Such as:
- The freedom to pay insurance premiums for years, only to have your policy canceled when you become ill.
- The freedom to be told, “We won’t insure you because you once had a root canal.”
- The freedom to be told, “We won’t insure you because you’re currently ill.”
- The freedom to have your premiums go up by double digit percentage increases annually.
- The freedom to have to file bankruptcy because you don’t have enough cash to pay for your treatment.
Bring on the freedom!

Lee is Rafael Cruz without the PR department.
Just imagine… it gets all the way through the Senate and makes its way to Obama’s desk, where it sits like a time bomb waiting to destroy his signature accomplishment and give the GOP their greatest victory, but then wait! Obama rolls out of bed and vetoes it on his way to take his morning piss.

If Lee, Cruz and Rubio were all (independently) campaigning with a promise for a full repeal of Obamacare, what about those who campaigned to protect it?
It’s like, if there is a tornado coming and you pray it doesn’t hit your house, and it hits your neighbor’s house instead because his prayers weren’t good enough?
