Discussion: House Intel Member Gowdy: I'm 'Awaiting The Mueller Investigation'

Congressional investigations should only be used to look into Democrats …
used to deflect and distract from Repub shenanigans …
and to feed the Republican base —

That way we don’t waste any money ----

Caught my eye as well…so I googled it:

Was worth reading for this alone:

The next innovation appears to originate in a tweet to Delacourt from Mike Woollatt, suggesting the name Underbus Consulting as a support group for former Conservative staffers.

Huh? Then why submit a so-called final investigative report. These guys are beyond a joke and should be shamed for the fact that they don’t care that our country was hacked. If Clinton had won they would be full steam ahead on investigations and committees and 3 or 4 special counsels. They make me sick.

There’s a little something in there for everybody. Trey Gowdy: a man for all seasons.

So we found no evidence of collusion. Whether or not it exists or not, I can’t speak to, because I haven’t interviewed the full panoply of witnesses.”

Oh, FFS, but yeah, Michelle Wolf better apologize to The Little Rock Matron coz:

Someone should ask Gowdy what, exactly, he thinks collusion is. It’s pointless getting statements from these guys if we don’t know what their definition of the word in question is. To add, Gowdy has a history of very politically biased investigations, it would be worth noting that, every time, there is an article written about him.

Democrats on the committee released a counter-report and have long claimed that their GOP colleagues did not sufficiently pursue relevant questions and witnesses.

And Gowdy just confirmed it.

"I haven’t interviewed the full panoply of witnesses.”

Then how could the HPSCI issue any report?

BTW, they have subpoena power, so any excuse they couldn’t compel people to be interviewed won’t cut it.

Too bad, Gowdy. You don’t get any forgiveness after the crap you’ve pulled. Try jumping off of a bridge into a ravine, then we’ll think about it.

Sounds like Gowdy is prepping for an ex post facto self forgiving mea culpa.

“Sure, the Majority report turned out to be total crock, but I said so soon after it was released. Old news!”

"I haven’t interviewed the full panoply of witnesses.”

Yeah, Trey. Like your Trump Teabagger constituents would ever know what a word like “panoply” means.
They probably think it means the same as “poloponies”.

Might I also suggest “underbusling” as a noun describing the person who has been underbussed? Underbusling Consultants should then be a thriving business in the personal rehabilitation space.

Trey has some good info on amounts of rubles funneled into Repub pockets …

But he doesn’t know how much Mueller knows … he he –

Sucks to be him ! —

Hey, my rep is Nancy Pelosi. Don’t blame all of us.

Since we didn’t interview the full panoply of witnesses, it is logical that we shut the investigation down and rely on the efforts of someone else to be the difference in this critical crossroads for America…the HOR is a wart on the ass of our republic, the Senate is an infected boil, the executive branch is melanoma.

So then what did Nunes get for carrying Trump’s water? What has he been promised?

My read on Gowdy’s entire response to all of this is, he actually isn’t dirty with Russian money/influence, but he is 100% certain that a lot of the republicans surrounding him are. That is why he is retiring.

He is too loyal, and still has ambitions, so he isn’t going to blow any whistles. But because he has ambitions, he doesn’t want to be anywhere near any of this when the house of cards finally collapses.

I would further guess that he suspects that collapse is rather imminent.

Too little too late, Mr. Benghazi.

I haven’t seen ‘underbus’ used since late in the GWB admin. It’s a great verb that deserves more use.

I don’t know, but I for one am very careful in my praise of Malfoy and Senator Graham Cracker. They make 'em slippery in South Carolina, very slipppery indeed. Malfoy has been saying more of the right things since he’s decided not to run again, but what is he going to do for a second act? Work for a right wing think-tank? Join Fox and friends? Not trusting that weasley POS one wit.
