I give a lot of credit to the groups that, rather than thinking that funneling money into elections will solve all our problems, have been encouraging and cultivating young progressives/Dems to run. Thank you, Indivisible. Thank you, Run for Something. Thank you, other groups I haven’t heard of.

She must be really pissed that they could not see what she was doing and quietly pretend to go along with her. Either that or they purposedly made her look like a fool which would be really interesting. If she votes no, it will be to get even with the House Repugs, not out of any concern for her constituents.

In a capitalist market, some products are beyond the means of most people. Most products are affordable to most people.
The low-end of the product line should be priced high enough so some people can’t afford even that. That’s how you maximize profits.
We’re talking health care. If you believe health care is a “market” then you are condemning some people to die. If you’re not comfortable with that, you’re a Democrat.

Just BTW, I’m pretty sure there’s a majority of votes in the House for Collins’s demands. But Ryan won’t let them come to a vote because the Crazy Assh*le Caucus would yank his speakership if he let something pass with democrats’ help.
