Discussion for article #237176
Their complete and flagrant disregard for folks not as fortunate as they are continues to stun me. I should be all stunned out by now,
So he is fine with being a member of the “F the poor” party. Very Christian of him. Probably feels persecuted for his beliefs.
Probably should prosecuted…
We must remember that Republicans get elected by being financed by the rich who do not like paying taxes and like big federal kickbacks in the form of generous federal contracts to their companies for donating a few thousand dollars to a Republican candidate’s PAC.
Caring for the poor, the sick, and those unlucky enough to suffer a costly medical injury in an accident, hey, it’s a minority of real voters in states like Kansas, at least, so far, it is.
It really is hard not to have utter contempt for the Republican Party.
Funny. He is receiving subsidies for his and his families insurance but a big fuck you to his constituents. Ask him if he is willing to give up his subsidies and you will get a very interesting answer. See what Lisa Murkowski said about that. The GOP senator from Alaska.
So we get to ignore the top 1.9% too, right?
“We must remember that Republicans get elected by being financed by the rich who do not like paying taxes…”
They also get elected by the 30% or so in this country who think THEY will never be poor, sick, or unlucky enough to suffer a costly medical injury in an accident. That’s those others who are nothing more than greedy moochers who are getting benefits off of the good (White) Americans who worked hard and, someday, will join their betters at the table of high wealth.
Fact is, the rich would be nowhere without them…
The one thing all Rethuglicans have in common: They ALL passionately HATE HUMANITY.
Many, many programs that government administers only effect a minority of the population. So what is their point…that only if something could affect their personal fortunes (i.e., being re-elected) does it deserve their attention? Words to describe this attitude toward public service fail me.
That fucker’s face is missing a shovel
I call it “total hatred.”
If I had criminal and civil immunity, I’d do to them what I do to yellowjacket nests.
Ah yes, his good Christian values at work. He must be following that part of the Sermon on the Mount where Jesus said “fuck the poor”
KS ass: Of course, my re-election is paramount in my considerations. Let the unfortunates eat cake…
They’ve long since passed the point where it’s possible to devise a fate too wretched for them.
I teach political science in Germany, including American politics. Political neutrality is essential for my profession.
It is really hard to maintain that standard, and even if you maintain it and report things as they are, the well known liberal bias of facts will take over. It would be intellectually dishonest to pretend that both parties are somehow equally to blame for the problems or can take equal credit for solutions. And when I call things as they are, it looks biased to someone who does not know much about politics. It is a conundrum.
Not as big a problem as actually having to live with these inane RWNJ, but a problem to academic neutrality and honesty.
Yeah, that equates to about 14,000 people he’s saying can go f**k themselves. And, if this is the way they think, it’s odd that he and his party are nonetheless extremely concerned about the 0.2 percent of Americans who are affected by the estate tax.
The old “Be careful what you wish for” is running this entire show. The GOP wanted to attack the ACA…and they did. Now they’re suddenly beginning to comprehend that their actions may well have Really Bad effects on the American People, and…whoops, now they’re on the hook for a solution. If the court rules in their favor the blow-back is going to be beyond belief, and a lot of people who might have ignored politics, or simply allowed them to continue as before are going to become energized…and the Clown Car is likely to find the road strewn with nails.
See what Lisa Murkowski said about that. The GOP senator from Alaska.
Do you have a link?
Exactly what I thought, if it interferes with my bribes, etc then I’ll do something otherwise FU…
