This is where, if I were a tech-savvy internet kid, I would compile a video of various GOPers declaring over the course of Obama’s time in office, that “We’re broke,” and post it here. That we can’t afford this and can’t afford that. The video would go on for a really long time, and no one would sit through the whole thing, but they’d see that it was over 30 minutes long and be impressed.
Then they’d wonder what I do all day that I have time to sit around and find and edits clips just to score some points on a message board. I’d wonder that too, and possibly allow it to depress me.

And is anyone surprised. The Republican lawmakers have wasted millions and millions and millions of OUR money with their nonsense! And, they barely do any work - if you can call it that! Two, 3 days a week of fundraising and then leave town for 3-4 day weekends. These people are worthless! And worse - crooks!

$500/hour is about standard for top range law firms. However, that’s $500/hr per billable hour, and generally only applies to top lawyers (partners). Associates’ time will generally be billed at a lower rate, and gofers at a still lower rate. Still, it depends on how many people are working on it as to what the total of billable hours will be. Two top lawyers can easily rack up 50 billable hours a week (plus other billables) on a case. At $25,000+ a week, it doesn’t take long to run through $350,000.

So, let’s see. $350k divided by $500/ hour is 700 hours, which works out to roughly 45 days to three months.
Will the GOP controlled House vote to extend their spending cap or shut the government down after Election Day but before Thanksgiving?
