Discussion for article #230081
Just SHOVE IT!
and if you thought the rollout for aca was a clusterfuck; you aināt seen nothing yet when the republicans go thru with thisā¦
(uh, isnāt revision of the gazillion pages long tax code one of the gop prioritiesā¦ and here they go already complicating it further.)
And the war on the poor continuesā¦
Understand this: All the threats to the Affordable Care Act affect EVERYBODY, not just people currently buying insurance with the subsidies SCOTUS might take away.
If ACA fails, for whatever reason, ALL insurance is threatened. ACA has already lowered rate increases for employer-based insurance and Medicare, but premiums will rise rapidly if millions of people now getting ACA coverage (whether with subsidies or not) are tnrown off their policies. Disastrous effects will flow to all patients.
Veto bait.
Well, at least they finally added a āreplaceā part to the ārepealā partā¦
Tom Price is not one of the Houseās strobe lights. This should be fun to watch.
And in the spirit of fair turnabout, treatment for emergency room patients identified as Republicans will be limited to bandaids and placebos.
Just say ānoā, President Obama.
Umm, not that the GOP cadre of ALEC-Fred C. Koch twins-Federalist troglodytes often err outside of reason, but how are Medicare recipients supposed to find employers who will hire them if they are preexisting patients?
Me GOP voter. Me love guns and Jesus. Me hate black guy in White House. Grunt. Grunt. Black guy bad. White guy good. Me hate Government. Me love corporations. Grunt. Me hate what black guy does. Grunt. Me love tax cuts. Me hate roads and bridges. Grunt. Grunt. Me report. Me decide. Grunt. Grunt. . .
wonder what morons in the backroom wrote this bill up.
easier to say : we are going to screw you and if you get sick, it is better to die than face the wrath of justice.
They forgot, WE PROMISE.
And what part of the Constitution allows the Federal Government to impose ātort reformā on the States, and state courts?
Most large states have already passed ātort reformā laws, for example, MICRA, in California, passed in the 70ās and sign by then (and now) Governor Brown, caps pain and suffering awards at $250,000.
Would the Federal law override the state law? How, and on what basis?
Perhaps I am wrong here, but you canāt exactly get a tax credit if you donāt pay taxesā¦is that correct? How does this help people who canāt really afford insurance afford insurance?
Sounds like really crappy legislation to me.
Well, that didnāt take long. Instead of finding ways to put people back to work, Republicans are so focused on depriving people from access to medical care.
yaddayaddayadda
Not Gonā Do It, Wun be prudent.
This piece of crap bill doesnāt say anything about pre-existing conditions. Or about kids being able to stay on their parentās plan, a really popular feature of the ACA.
