Discussion: House GOP Tees Up Shutdown War On Immigration With Passage Of DHS Bill

Not exactly true, I’m afraid. The majority of voters voted for Democrats, but Republican Party voting district gerrymandering has robbed the nation of Democratic leadership in Congress.

yep, all theater.

What makes you say that?

And people think they voted for change. They just made Republicans think it was ok to do the same crap they did a couple times before. Shutting down the government will work just fine for Democrats in the next election. Call their bluff.

Right now, Republicans are going to throw every piece of red meat out there for their base. Obama should veto absolutely everything until he gets the promised “leadership” and “Bipartisanship” from the Republicans.

So much for taking them at there word about gov’t shutdowns last week. They have the attention span of a cat. If this won’t say we win, then will do what we said we wouldn’t do and make sure we win next time. See, we are important and as bonehead loves to say," it’s what the people want us to do".
He feels important once again because somebody threatened to kill him and it made the 8 hour news cycle.
All ploy with not a damn second of upholding your oath of office and job requirements.
Such as, the process of governing to make the USA a better country than any other in this very small world.
Not congressional terrorism for a powerplay to advance your idealogies of keeping a border wall between the rich and everybody else. Pathetic!!!

Just kind of feels like a trend…ala: http://mashable.com/2014/12/17/no-comment/

This is the kind of crap that makes kids from Ohio want to blow up the Capitol.

Yes - which does make me wonder if it might be better for the Senate not to Filibuster.

Let it pass on an up-or-down vote and let Obama veto it. If the Senate Repubs want to try to pretend to be the adults in the party, make them vote against it explicitly.

“The legislation is an aggressive opening bid from the House. It’s unlikely to pass the Senate, where Democrats appear to have the votes to filibuster.”

Perhaps Bought Bitch Mitch will infer that fillibuster is coming…
