Alternate headline:
To Hell With Humanity — Let The Looting Begin!
So broken.
You can kiss pretty much everything goodbye - Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, EPA, Education, consumer protections, overtime, child labor laws, everything. After they are done America will never be great again.
Just another talking point to calm the base. Who is actively working for an alternative to the ACA? That is a monstrous assignment and I don’t see any Republican up to the challenge. There are probably some tweaks that need to be made, but this isn’t the crowd to do it.
It’s The Gilded Age Redux.
And they will blame Obama.
A small correction: DACA is the program for so-called Dreamers. DAPA is for parents of Americans. The first program is in effect. The second was blocked by the courts.
They love the uneducated, and there’s going to be a lot more…
'cause nothing says Republican values like screwing workers.
Do you hear that in the Rust Belt?
They are saying “screw you!”
Rep. Ryan: Thin resume, thin lips, thin ideas!
A thought. What if Pres. Shitgibbon, whimsical autocrat that he is, for whatever febrile reason, vetos some of this stuff. Not that this would happen mind you, but Trump only owes allegiance to Trump. His first thought will always be: what’s in it for me?
Once again, the GOP locks up the working class voters by catering to their needs. Right, Sanders?
The twitterstorm below – I have had EXACTLY the same anger as Matt’s since election day.
Exactly, While gutting (and replacing ) Obamacare is a daunting task, these two policies on overtime and financial oversight are important ones for the working man and woman and can be easily overturned. It again reminds me of how blindly self-destructive voters can be.
I hate these ratfking two years olds. They couldn’t do jack sht for 8 years after bringing this country to it’s knees and now they are going back to 2008 without a beat. It didn’t work THEN and it won’t work now. I’m getting a little tired of cleaning up their sht.
And it’s a monstrous assignment that would probably just lead them to the conclusion that the ACA has no alternative that doesn’t drag everything left-ward or shove us right back where we were pre-ACA. We’ll probably just get tort reform.
I’d love to see the Republicans in Congress work for an hourly wage. Let’s be generous and make it $25/hour, but they only get paid for time actually worked (not fund-raising). And no OT for weeks that they possibly work more than 40 hours. Try it sometime, douchebags.
I follow Matt as well. He does excellent analysis.
and they bend over while screamin for govt to keep it’s hands off their medicare…and guess who is going after their medicare… the same assholes who they voted for
