Discussion: House GOP Plans Another Vote To Repeal Obamacare Next Week

And in addition to voting on the bills, they could file a few lawsuits for each of those issues.

True, there is no apparent penalty for these destructive and pointless actions.

insanity: doing something for the 51st time and expecting a different result from the one you got when you did it the first 50 times

Do these morons have any idea how this is going to look in history books 40 years from now? There is no way I would want my name or reputation associated with this bullshit.

It gives them soundbites on local news and Fox.

The next day, they’re onto something else and no one remembers the previous day’s puffery.

I guess that counts as “doing something.”

WTF does this have to do with “another vote to appeal Obamacare”?

Nothing. OT stands for Off Topic. Just skip it if your not interested.

A moronic meaningless GOP vote for moronic brainless GOP voters.

These folks are fucking crazy.

Absolutely.
Wouldn’t it be great, though, to call their bluff and do it loudly.
If it’s going to be a circus then let’s call attention to the center ring and put some of their core values- promised to voters- up to be voted upon.
Hell, choose one Democrat with a safe seat and a smart electorate to bring up these issues with tongue firmly in cheek.

It could be brilliant political theater.

If it looks like the Senate might actually pass the bill, the lobbyists for the insurance companies would have to get to work. Sounds like a plan!

They want to repeal the ACA and they’ve got nothing to replace it. Consequently poor and middle class people are gonna suffer if the ACA is destroyed. I gues this is what George Bush meant by “compassionate conservatism”.

Oh, but they are creating jobs. If they don’t allow the freshmen congresscritters to pander to their base, how can they guarantee them (the congresscritters) jobs! Isn’t it lovely watching your tax dollars at work?

This should be said to whatever GOPer is invited to appear on the Sunday talk shows, week after week. Especially in light of the waste of taxpayers money with each House vote to repeal the ACA. Heck, Boehner specifically said that the ACA “is the law” last year. Naturally, those shows conveniently forget that and won’t confront the GOP since they don’t want to upset their close buddies.

Yes, but their first priority is to attack the president who does not look like them.

Nothing, I saw it somewhere and thought I’d post it. I also contacted the site as there was interest in the story last week.
