Discussion for article #224231
Religion doesnt make our laws dooshnozzle.
I think Pedro Cailis is confused about a lot of things.
Marriage based on polyamory shouldn’t be illegal, but most religions that approve of polygamy are about as far from polyamory attitudes as you can get.
I personally have no objection to polygamy. It does however create legal nightmares.
Another example of how to reply when you have nothing coherent to add to the conversation. Misdirect again and again.
He seems to be for replacing ACA, no details, for impeachment, against his opponent’s vote to raise the minimum wage, for abortion restrictions though he’ll decide on that after he’s elected, and even though he is from Mexico, he will no doubt come out against immigration because RWNs. Where do they find these guys.
Religions have embraced polygamy.
He’s a dope. Marriage is fundamentally a state-sancitioned property arrangement and so not the purview of religion. Religions are good with celebrations and social-acceptance ceremonies. Let them do those and be as bigoted as they always are. Let the states do the property thing.
But ONLY multiple wives/one husband!
Has somebody checked the sex offender registry to make sure this guy’s not listed. I’d bet dollars for donuts that he likes to drive around the park in his van and ask the little kiddos if they’d like a ride.
The first clue that you should not support someone is when they refuse to answer a simple question like whether they would vote to restrict abortion.
This maroon is just a typical tea party jackass who is unaware of what marriage is in the US.
It’s a contract at civil law, and it has no necessary religious component.
Polygamy is illegal for everyone—marriage should be legal for everyone.
It really is that simple—and so, apparently, is this right-wing doofus.
What a knob.
While I agree with most of what you’ve said, I really think we need to start calling same-sex marriage a HUMAN right.
What is more human than love, sex, and companionship?
Why shouldn’t a man be able marry multiple women? Why shouldn’t a woman be able to marry multiple men? Who cares if a bunch of men and women want to live together in whatever configuration one chooses? Two men, three women?
I don’t see the problem, if it works for you, I couldn’t care less. Seems like a hassle to me, but to each his or her own. It’s called freedom.
Sounds like he’s trying to figure out how to pander best and is failing miserably on all issues by taking multiple sides and hoping no one notices or pays attention. Too late bud. WE SEE YOU.
Oh my!!

Stay ignorant, my friends.”
