OT, but HOLY. FUCKING. CRAP. Someone has discovered the ad absurdum pinnacle of bothsiderism…and of course he’s with the NYT. There is literally nowhere to go from there on the bothsiderism curve but downwards. LITERALLY. I challenge anyone to top it.
Such a great example of someone arriving at a statement that he thinks is the product of brilliantly thinking outside the box when it is really nothing but “flip-it-all-backwards” word play generating complete fucking idiocy.
OT though it still falls under the general category of standing up to white supremacy. Look at what is in the works from the GOP (they are trying to get women to make false accusations of sexual harassment against Mueller). We must be prepared.
O my god the Bobo strikes again. How stupid is David Brooks? That’s a rhetorical question, the measurement can’t be made - we have nothing that can encompass this much stupid.
Congressman Steve King’s recent comments, actions, and retweets are completely inappropriate. We must stand up against white supremacy and hate in all forms, and I strongly condemn this behavior.
I’d have enquoted “white supremacy” because it is an embarrassing lie, nothing more.
I’d also have used something stronger that “inappropriate.”
On the other hand, as @nikta observed, a first step, no matter how tentative, is better than no step at all.
Actually, I think Cantor’s work with infinite sets, which demonstrates that there are multiple levels of infinity, each level more infinite than the level before, might just help us out here…
That is what all of this just screams - we know we’re going down and we’re going down as ugly as possible. It is exactly what I expected from them once they knew it was over.
