Discussion for article #225565
In other words, another symbolic vote to make it appear that they’re actually doing something. A House GOP specialty.
They’ve also voted to sue Obama.
They’re still hoping the Stockholm Syndrome will kick in …
And a well deserved recess it is! They accomplished so much since there last vacation, I couldn’t even name all of their…er…accomplishments.
What the…hey! That’s off-subject. There ought to be a law.

Interesting, a law to stop the President’s executive actions. Huh? That’s not going to happen. In fact wait until they see his executive action on immigration, just before the next election. OOHH there will be a tsunami of Republican tears.
is “an essential precondition”
Apparently he doesn’t realize that his ObamaCare plan eliminated pre-existing conditions.
Treatment for his mental health conditions - even though he’s obviously had them for several decades - can’t be denied.
“…House Republican leaders are hoping to vote…”
Hoping.
The challenge is getting up from their poolside lounge chairs long enough to call the real power for permission.
Those worthless bastards in the GOP House are being worthless bastards. Again.
it’s either that, or another vote to repeal the ACA.
Watching these fuckups fuck up would be funny if it wasn’t so important. I don’t think these drooling morons are capable of finding their ass with both hands on a clear day with a 12 hour advance notice.
When I read that, I get shivers of joy.
No, less than that. Its merely thinking it. Its very doubtful that Congress will be able to get anything done before recess. Especially in an election year.
“But Republicans don’t want to return home for a five-week break and face constituents without acting to address the problem of over 57,000 undocumented minors – mostly from Central America – being apprehended in recent months. The Friday meeting was called to see if they can get behind a solution.”
When thy marinate thy own butt with the sauce of obstruction, eat well representatives.
More horses and bayonets to the border, paid for by more cuts to heating aid for the poor … they don’t need it in August
The House GOTP aims? They have terrible aim. Terrible. They cant even pull the trigger.
So once again, the repubs. lied about the situation at the border…
They don’t give a damn about the children. So instead of fixing the problem.
They decide to waste taxpayers money (once again) by under cut the funding from the supplement bill to the tune of just a couple $$ million.
Will do absolutely nothing, but make a bad situation worse.
Which was meant to do:
shorten the no.# of immigration judges
make transporting more difficult
overload federal agencies with little to no funding.
Then sit back a wait for the next shoe to drop. Then run to the camera, point their finger at the Pres. & scream “his plan failed, he’s in over his head, he’s increasing the deficit, we can’t keep throwing money at the problem.”
And the msm will sit on camera like a bump on a log, then wait till they get in front of the Pres. or anyone of his admin. and repeat every word they memorizes. Then we get another knee-jerking freak-out. Until the facts come out a 1 or 2 weeks later…
On the other hand, if the Pres. succeed then you won’t hear about it no more (like Obamacare, UE down, auto bail-out, deficit falling fastest pace ever, or that Treasury Dept. recorded a budget surplus of $71 Billion for the month of June, stockmarket make history, etc)…
GOTV 2014
Really??? Anyone here really think the GOP was going to do anything about this crisis? Raise your hands…anyone…anyone at all
Why not scale it back to $10? No need to make it higher than the minimum wage, amiright?
