Omerta isn’t what it used to me. It’s become закон молчания. The GOP fools think that “drinking the tea” is a minor punishment.

The aiders and abettors of Trumpism DESERVE the worst fate possible. Republicans were already in the pockets of corporations and the super rich. Perhaps they should have realized there was no upside to siding with a megalomaniacal traitor.

Perhaps the geniuses in the House could have come up with a bill that didn’t suck?

For some reason, my well of sympathy has run dry…“You built this!!”

Oh give me a break. I’m just some guy in the Midwest whose only info comes from consuming mainstream media and I knew this was at best a very risky proposition.

McConnell himself said almost daily he didn’t think he’d be able to get such a bill through the Senate. Hell, it barely got through the House and at least half of them are card carrying kooks.

I’d love to see a chart/venn diagram of the yes votes in the house with the most endangered house members (I know Issa has a huge target on his back, as he should).

Looks like we’re heading for peak sad trombone at GOP HQ…

“I just find it interesting to note the number of geniuses serving in the United States Senate,” Rep. Mark Amodei (R-NV) told TPM.

Well, that seems like a bit of a stretch, but they’re certainly smarter than their colleagues in the House. Low bar, I know, but it’s not like you couldn’t see this coming.

I could be mistaken but, it appears the Rethugs “scream death”.

They act like they didn’t know this nonsense was polling so low when they voted.

This is a great piece. Getting House GOPers to go on the record whining that the Senate didn’t do their work for them after they threw what they knew perfectly well was a major stink bomb, over to them.

“Damn that kid I thought was a brainiac!! He knew perfectly well that I didn’t write up my book report. Why the hell didn’t he do it for me?? It’s clearly all his fault!”

And besides, its not like they didn’t get anything. Donald threw them a nice little keg party to celebrate their incompetence.

There might be left-overs from the Senate’s Trump lunch…

Paul Ryan is not the Senate Majority Leader, and to the best of my knowledge McConnell never made any such promise either when Ryan was selling this line of BS. They were fools to think that Ryan could promise them Senate passage of the measure or something similar to it.

No worries, they’ll be ale to use all those Mexican Pesos that were to pay for the wall to buy votes instead with trump’s awesome infrastructure plan.

Maybe what the House of Reprehensibles fails to understand is that the Senate is not subject to gerrymandering. They actually have to consider all the State’s residents and not just the ones in their limited districts, as it is in the House.

The Senators responded the way the House should’ve responded, if their seats weren’t protected by big money and State legislatures.

Ryan assured the moderate GOP reps that the Senate would fix the nasty parts of the bill their constituents hate. McConnell assured the moderate GOP senators that they could support his bill, because future administrations would never implement the nasty parts of that bill.

Years of depending on an Obama veto has rewired them into thinking that their outrageous propositions are fine because the status quo will be maintained no matter what, somehow, thank G*d.
