No respect for King Shitgibbon. Sad.
Now watch all the praise he gets for only wanting to burn down the house with accelerants instead of blowing it up with TNT first.
“I don’t want to talk for the entire Freedom Caucus, we haven’t taken a formal position on that, but generally speaking, in talking to a number of my members, if there was a vote for a continuing resolution next week that did not include border wall funding, the majority of those members would be supportive of that,”
previously
“There is nothing more critical that has to be funded than funding the border wall for two reasons,” Meadows said. “One is it is a commitment that the president made to the American people and one that he intends on keeping, but the second part of that is for our national security we must secure our borders. And the American people will accept no less.”
Here’s Meadows on MSNBC and
from that article
Meadows told Breitbart he thinks Trump would be willing to shut down the government if he doesn’t get wall funding and that conservatives in Congress are "committed to supporting him in that position."
This timeline, ooof.
I think it’s surprising that the FC is taking the shutdown option out early and is excluding the wall. They’re not using Harvey as the excuse, even though it’s there for them.
…and just like that, Donald Trump becomes the thing that he fears most…irrelevant.
Poor Man-Baby won’t like it.
When was the last time we had a Mexican terrorist attack originating in the border area?
We’re trapped in a vicious cycle: the more Donnie acts out the less deference he receives, the less deference Donnie receives the more he acts out. Anybody have a nun on speed dial?
That said…I don’t trust the FC, so I’d stay tuned. Too much crazy stuff happening in September: tax, budget, attempted cuts at HC, Harvey, #trumprussia.
¡yo qué sé!
Poor Man-Baby may not see it
– It’s on ABC, not Fox or CNN.
– It’s an audio podcast - no visuals for him to watch.
Freedom Caucus translation: “If we are held responsible for shutting down the government, we are screwed rude.”
Obviously, you weren’t around for the Great Taco Truck Invasion of 2016.
Made the Battle of the Bulge look like a lively debate,
(note: no facts were harmed in the posting of this comment)
The taco truck invasion did contribute to the battle of the bulge however.
I si what you did there…
Yeah but it begs a question: if he is irrelevant, why don’t they get rid of him instead of dragging him into the midterms with them?
i would assume his voting base would rather shut the government down and fund the wall, since that’s what their Dear Leader wants. So whose votes are the Freedom Caucus actually concerned about? If they don’t have a problem making what he wants irrelevant, then why keep him around at all? They must no longer think he’s an asset of any kind to their electoral futures
geez, without someone with melanin concentrations greater than a white sheet in the WH, now there is no talk of holding the government hostage in order to defund Planned Parenthood, Dems should go anti-TP on this one and demand Planned Parenthood funding for their support of a debt ceiling limit raise and a CR, just to hear the 'pubes whine about it
Except for a few exceptions who outperformed him, he likely owns the majority of the caucus’s base.
Up against the wall, Donald!
When are we going to start referring to these guys as the ‘Incompetent Blackmailers’ that they are?
