Discussion: House Conservatives Draw Their Line On Obamacare, But With Wiggle Room

They need to actually just lean in, move forward and do what they told the American people they were going to do.

Now were those constituents supposed to take them literally, seriously, or something else entirely? And what about all the garbage Congress has gleefully passed that never occupied a moment of time in the campaign, like easier access to firearms for the severely mentally impaired or the non-disclosure of payments to foreign governments by oil and gas companies?

Humana announced today they will withdraw from ACA and not offer any product for 2018, they site lack of direction from Congress .

It looks like they win by doing nothing.

We’ll see whether it’s a win after the next election. An awful lot of idiot working-class people are suddenly panic-stricken about losing the insurance they were able to get under the ACA (which is so much better than that POS Obamacare!).

So, it’s this kind of line?

the House Freedom Caucus, a group of 40-50 staunch conservatives who have held up Republican legislation in the past, officially endorsed a 2015 bill that had been vetoed by Barack Obama to be used for repealing the ACA under President Donald Trump.

Who are they…names, states, districts? They are the enemy of good governance and honorable service to their constituents. Publicize their intransigence and the consequences…educate the folks who elected them. They can’t be primaried from the right. Who are they going to get, Atilla The Hun? Some significant number of our fellow citizens have to be counted on to throw the bums out. If not…well, they/we are the “nails”

For the want of a nail, the shoe was lost,
For the want of a shoe, the horse was lost,
For the want of a horse, the rider was lost,
For the want of the rider, the battle was lost,
For the want of the battle, the Kingdom was lost,
All for the want of a horseshoe nail.

Health Savings Accounts are for the upper middle class and above who actually have discretionary money. Most people in this country do not have the money to fund them. They are living paycheck to paycheck. Why do these so-called pious Christian legislators want to take benefits away from people? Frauds, they are all frauds. Their God is money.

So sprach nutzloses Scheissestück Jim Jordan:

“So, frankly if you send that bill over as the repeal, it makes it sort of tough for senators not to vote for it, because they’ve already for it.”

'weasel Jordan, you have the hidden assumption here that those Senators didn’t view their vote as a free vote because they knew President Obama would veto the bill.

“The legislation would dismantle the health care law’s taxes, including its individual mandate, right away, but delay repeal of the ACA subsidies and Medicaid expansion for two years.”

Dear Democrats: please start producing your advertisements about the forthcoming health insurer bail out.

Actually unless rabid, real bats aren’t Batshit crazy.

House (pets of billionaire) Conservatives Draw Their Line On (removing taxes supporting) Obamacare, But With Maximum Deniability

Wise advice on horseshoe nail stocks aside, and as much as I’d usually agree on the Freedumb Caucus characterization, in this case they are helping the cause. They’re just providing one more ray of hope that, as Boehner predicated, House (& Senate) Republicans will never agree on a replacement package, and the ACA will more or less survive. That would obviously be a very good thing.
