Discussion: House Blocks GOP Rep’s Amendment To Keep Tubman Off $20 Bill

"It’s not about Harriet Tubman, it’s about keeping the picture on the $20," King told Politico. “Y’know? Why would you want to change that? I am a conservative, I like to keep what we have.” (Asshat from Iowa, Re. Steve King – a Republican, of course)

The fuck it’s not about Harriet Tubman! Your kind use this very same argument about nearly everything: “Let’s just leave it the way it is – why on earth ever change something (for the better!)?” Society, civilization would never progress, get better, smarter if you people had your way.

"It's not about Harriet Tubman", he said.

“I’d be opposed to putting any black person on our currency”, he explained.

What a blot on the United States of America Steve King is.

Steve King’s picture should go on the $20 bill as a way of celebrating white supremacy and dumb congress persons.

The Iowa Republican went on to say that it was “racist” and “sexist” to suggest that a woman or person of color be included on U.S. currency.

For King, the proposal to replace former president [Andrew][1] [Jackson][2], a [slaveowner][3], with an [abolitionist][4] and [feminist icon][5] was “[liberal activism][6].”

“This is a divisive proposal on the part of the president, and mine’s unifying,” he told Politico. “It says just don’t change anything."

Here’s a little background on King on what type of person he really is! If there is a more blatant way to use your school deferments to avoid being drafted I haven’t come across one! He stands heads and shoulders above the whole group of Chicken-Hawks that used deferments to avoid serving, during the late 60’s!

Since under federal law no living person can appear on US currency, I will be eagerly anticipating the time when your suggestion can be realized.

So, apparently allowing things to enter in historically stopped at some point. Tubman is historic and important figure. To me I do not see a big deal with this if they kept it the same or change it.

Steve King…leading the Republican outreach to minorities program.

Please proceed.

Ya, where have I heard this before? It’s racist for you to notice and mention that I am a racist!

The Iowa GOP has tried to show Steve-o the door during redistricting … even throwing in a college town (Ames) in the latest shuffle … but the Dems have failed to capitalize on the opportunity :-[
