Do Appropriations Chairmen still count? Wow.
This just gets better and better.
But I want to see GOP-on-GOP fistfights on the floor of the House, Taiwan/Korea-style political violence.
The Appropriations Committee has no idea what theyâre doing. Theyâve been failing for years now, on the way down. Sad!
Each manâs death diminishes me,
For I am involved in mankind.

For whom the bell tolls,
It tolls for thee.

When you lose committee chairmen on major legislation, that doesnât just mean the bill is going to fail. It means your Speakership is in grave danger.
@captaincommonsense Complete with hurling trash bins and water balloons at each other, please!
Republicans in districts that Hillary carried.
There arenât a lot of them, but there could be enough to take this down.
Pretty sweet.
Would Trump and Ryan sacrifice their loyalists in the House as cannon fodder in a doomed re-enactment of Pickettâs charge? Trump being totally insane surely doesnât care. Ryan is just following orders.
If a chairman says heâs voting against, that means all the âmoderatesâ who were tentatively for the bill are going to flee.
Ruh-roh
Ryan needs this bill to fund the cuts that he wants. I mean, the ptb really really need this bill. Anyone thinking about about being in tight re-election races will have to pause.
Oh please please please please please! I barely dare hope.
P.S. Love your nom de plume too
A Republican with principles that would help average people? Wow. What a day.
He cited one of the last-minute additions to the bill, a provision that would repeal Obamacareâs requirement that insurers cover Essential Health Benefits, in spelling out the reasons he could not back the American Health Care Act.
âEssential Health Benefits?â Trump and the Freedom freaks have redefined âessential.â They now report âessentialâ means âunimportant.â
We now have the freedom to die because insurance is essentially unimportant. Thanks.
Think Coffman and 1 other from a HRC district came out in support of the bill. Situation seems fluid, but thereâs so little enthusiasm for it on the R side that it seems more difficult to pass. My reading of it right now is 58% chance of not passing and 42% chance of passing. Trump pressure and threat of withholding campaign funds could make this narrower, but those who see the long game will know that a ânoâ vote is the right political move.
It is time to get the vote over with. As far, as Preshitident Trump is concerned he has already lost. Preshitident Trump has already made plans to go on Spring Break with First Lady (Washington DC) Ivank Trump to Mar-a-Lago, Florida.
If T rump pressures No votes with loss of campaign funds, that threat will be mitigated with support from the Koch brothers. Not much pressure not to vote No on this. Theyâll be shamed, either way, but with T rumpâs loss of political credibility accelerating at lightening speed, i think the moderates will be far safer voting no than yes. Plus, they can safely look their constituents in the eye by not revoking their healthcare coverage.
