Harper’s decision not to seek re-election creates an opening in central Mississippi’s 3rd District.

I’ve heard Roy Moore is still without employment in Alabama.

Dang. Harper wasn’t even on any of my “Bye-bye, Buttlickers” Bingo cards. What a waste.

“He said in a statement that he never intended to make a career in Congress…”

Reality Translation: “I wanted to cash in on all the grift available to the GOP in Congress from the Kochs and the Mercers and all the rest, but now the GOP is about as popular as baboon shit-flavored Jell-O, so I’m getting out before my constituents skin me alive with a potato peeler.”

This is a difficult district for a Democrat, but who would have guessed that AL would have a Democratic Senator or that all those VA Democrats would win state house seats. In VA we benefited from a run everywhere strategy. A quality Democrat can win here but they have to run a perfect campaign. In 2018 there will be a good turnout in MS with a Senate race and state offices up plus the legislature, etc.

Anyone with an R after their name is damnably to be blamed. Fuck him. Every one of them needs to get thrown out of DC.
