Discussion for article #228589
R.I.P. Thomas Eric Duncan
Enough said.
Iâm taking bets here as to how long itâs going to take the troglodytes to start blaming this on the President. The odds are 1-2, in favor. Now, who wants to make me rich?
Sympathies to the family of Thomas Duncan. May his family find comfort during this trying time.
The question on why he was sent home by the hospital in the first place. Well if you live in Texas and your among the 360k plus residents without health insurance, this is a common practice for the hospitals.
Cue the Texbola madness in 3, 2, 1âŚ
Your are wrong. Itâs Obamaâs fault. Everything is Obamaâs fault. Fox News told me.
Iâm sure that Fox and Friends will announce this news with a measured, reasoned, calm demeanor.
WHY woNât OHbUmmer TAke THe BLAme FOR sPReadING eBOLA? OUr BOrders ARE INSECUre anD TERrorISts ARe BRinGING in EBLOA bY the BAGful, CALves As big As MELons!!11!1!1!1!one!!1!1!!!
CALM? CaN yOU be CALM KNOWing thAt our insideS ARE sooN to LIQUIFY AND leak out ALL our PErsoN holeS???
In our geography-challenged country I wouldnât bet against the admitting nurse not connecting West Africa with Liberia and Ebola.
Aah, so it is ObamaCAREâs fault! See, it wasnât because Perryâs hospitals bungled the case, it was because Obama didnât push hard enough for Obamacare that made the hospital staff send the uninsured to the curb.
Darn that Obama, Perry never would have let his signature legislation go unenactedâŚ
Meanwhile Perry was heard to say âoops⌠should a took the moneyâ
I donât think your title is technically correct.
Of the five known strains of Ebola, I believe the Reston variant, named for the outbreak in Reston Virginia, claims the title for the first âEbolaâ virus to strike Americans on our soil. The distinction being this mutation is only dangerous to monkeys (at present), even though the human staff were infected.
I could be wrong- this is going from memory.
A definite possibility. More likely, though, is what Iâve experienced many times:
You go to the doctorâs office or the hospital and either fill out 2 pages front and back of questions about yourself, or the med assistant asks you the same things orally. The doctor comes in and says, âWhat medications are you taking?â and âHave you ever had ___?â Itâs all right there on the paper he/she never looks at!!! Why did I spend all that time filling it out? Because I have asthma and take a number of meds with 7-14 letter names that all seem to begin with X or Z, I finally made a wallet card with all the names and doses to carry with me. Does the doctor look at the card Iâve handed him/her? Nope. A recitation from the person gasping for air seems to be the only thing that will do. What do doctors have against at least giving those papers the once over?
âWE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE!â
Lindsey Graham
The hospital had finished a âdrillâ about such conditional patients being admitted, including what questions to ask only a day or two before he was turned away.
Rick Perry of course, would beg to obfuscate that fact.
âIt has acknowledged that Duncan told them on his first visit that he came from West Africa.â
Which probably elicited the response from some conservative doctor: âLetâs let him go and cause an epidemic so we can blame it on Obama and the ACA.â
You think Iâm being hyperbolic, but I have no doubt in my mind that the depth of the southern conservative hate has reached that level.
The Dallas News had an informative article about him and how he probably contracted the disease. Very sad.
Donât read the comments. Although some are compassionate, others will have you shaking your head at yet another glaring example of the inhumanity thatâs on display around us.
If Obama hadnât prevented Rick Perry from becoming president, this definitely might not have happened.
