Discussion for article #241802
a poster image dehumanizing an entire region
Hard to believe âHomelandâ has lasted this long. Though it was getting raves, I found the 1st season a laughable cartoon and, after a few tortured episodes, unwatchable.
Awesome.
Alex Gansa, the co-creator of âHomelandâ told the New York Times that producers wish they had caught the images before they were aired.
So why didnât they? Proper post production is sometimes the little things that in this instance needed to be struck, before something embarrassing occurs.
âHowever, as âHomelandâ always strives to be subversive in its own right and a stimulus for conversation, we canât help but admire this act of artistic sabotage,â Gansa told the Times.
First two seasons is basically a redux of the Manchurian Candidate. The third season deals with the previous seasons aftermath. The fourth season deals with a re-do of the second and third seasons and the fifth season is basically Carrie (the lead character) now working for a private contractor.
Uh-huh@âsubversiveâ
Demonstrating that, once again, Gandhi and Kingâs messages of peaceful resistance are the best and most powerful way to achieve your societal goals against oppression, ignorance and bigotry. A most timely article about your previous story on the Palestinianâs new strategy.
Given that the series is based on an Israeli series and was created by two of the guys who created â24,â there is someone surprised by this?
Whatever language that is (Arabic?), the script looks beautiful.
Hebraic script would have been even more subversive; Roman script would have been the most subversive of all.
Thanks. You couldâve prefaced your comment with âspoiler alert.â
Itâs your own damn fault.
I warned you 7 years ago not to read the comments on this article, but you were all âthereâs no such thing as time travel.â Wrong, smarty pants. You lose.
Maybe you would have been more willing to believe me if I hadnât mentioned that Trump would be wiping the floor with the rest of the field early in the GOP 2016 primary.

âBecause we look like even bigger idiots and more clueless than just from the crap we produce.â
âHowever, as âHomelandâ always strives to be subversive in its own right and a stimulus for conversation, we canât help but admire this act of artistic sabotage,â Gansa told the Times.
âAnd to make a big deal out of it will only draw attention we donât want, especially on the lack of authenticity.â
I disagree, I took me two seasons before I watched it but binged watched until I caught up, I think it is one of the best series ever and am amazed they have been able to keep it so realistic after all these seasons. To each his own
Oh, I agree. Based on that first graphic alone, I have to say that, indeed, Al-Watan is a racist newspaper and website. http://www.elwatannews.com
