That’s about as close to Hillary pulling a Cheney (“Go fuck yourself.”) as you’re ever going to see. That said, she’s going to get called on it the next time she goes on a chat show – which she’s going to be doing very soon now.

When you have Stephanopoulos asking the President about his “Muslim Faith”, and 2 out of 3 guests on Meet The Press are GOP figures or consultants every Sunday, you know Hillary is better off using other venues.
Her goal should be to reach Married White Women, a demo that Obama was not able to get on his side even though he won all women 55-44%.
She is simply not going to get the votes of the Angry Old White Guys, and she needs to win without them.

The arrival of the four bodies at Dover and Hillary’s obvious grief with losing her friend, while our President was visibly supporting her, should have been the answer about why she wasn’t going on talk shows that weekend. Where the hell is our compassion these days?
Any outrage should be directed at the extra funding for embassies and new outposts being refused by the Republicans in Congress.
I felt that Susan Rice’s statements were more cautious than much of what was being made public at the time but then, our President had called it an “act of terror” that very 1st morning in his first public appearance. It was unfolding and let’s not forget that Romney had stupidly intervened and held his own uninformed “press conference” while the attacks were still occurring to gleefully score cheap political points from a national tragedy.

Given the chaos in Libya, somebody ought to be talking about it. There’s fighting in Benghazi. The transition to the newly elected prime minister is on hold. And, our government has urged US citizens to leave Libya and avoid travelling there.
Hard choices, huh?

Sabbath gasbags with ulterior motives are who appear on these shows that usually have 44 minutes of content after all the commercials and it’s not the place for an intelligent, compelling discussion of world affairs, and as former Secretary of State she knows that.
