Headline: "Hillary Clinton pledges to stop using the word “moist.”

She’s pledged to start referring to them as “Immigrants Without Papers:” immigrant WOPS.

Huh!!

Never mind this. Please tell me a reporter has cornered Trump and/or Carson and asked them what they think about and then list EVERY FUCKING CONSPIRACY THEORY OUT THERE, one at a time.

I’ll bet some of the answers are priceless.

Oh dear. Someone is having a sad.

Candidates from Maryland and Vermont complaining about what undocumented immigrants are called.

On one hand, I think most of the undocumented immigrants should be granted legal status immediately and offered a path to citizenship. On the other hand, I am in no mood to listen to bullshit from Martin O’Malley until he has lived in a county where 1/3 of the residents were born in another country, like Los Angeles county.

While mostly positive, it isn’t all unicorns and rainbows.

This is a PC bridge too far. They are illegal. Would you all prefer “uninvited guests”?

I’m reminded of the similar objection to displaced New Orleanians’ being called refugees after Hurricane Katrina. They were seeking refuge, so didn’t that make them refugees?

It is a ridiculous term. All other crimes are defined by the crime. Murderers are not called illegal killers. Speeders are not called illegal drivers, etc. Define the crime. They are in this country without proper documentation. That makes them undocumented immigrants.

Word games are so much easier than policy. I don’t care what she’s going to say, I want to know what she is going to do, other than cave to the PC police.

Words do matter. “Illegal” aliens/immigrants denotes that they have already broken the law; it connotes to many that they are criminals.

They have already broken our immigration laws. The question is, do we treat smuggling yourself into the country more like drug smuggling or more like jay-walking. The kinder we are to the illegals we have, the more illegals we will get; and if we make them American citizens, what happens to the argument that they will do the jobs Americans won’t do?

It’s not really. We don’t refer to those who commit other crimes as illegal kidnappers or illegal muderers. The use of the term illegal is referring to the person (immigrant) as opposed to the civil infraction, illegal immigration. The term is undocumented immigrants and illegal immigration.
