I’m only disappointed in the timing. I was hoping the implosion of Trump would be after a few GOP debates and a few casualties in the clown car demolition derby and the GOP painted further into the corner in owning this clown.

The other tack being to respond, “Donald who?” C’mon, he’s a fucking sideshow. The problem with engaging or even acknowledging someone like Trump is that it’s difficult to avoid knocking yourself down a peg or two in the process. Responding directly to anything Trump says is like falling into the “When did you stop beating your wife”? trap. Dismiss him once and move on.

At this point, Clinton has a lot more to be worried about from the Sanders candidacy than any of the Rethugs.

I think it was the right approach from Hillary. It is way too early for curb stomping at this point. Let them take all of the crazy and awful positions that they want to take during the primary season and save the curb stomping for the general election campaigns. Heck, I am sure that like the rest of us she is praying that the Don doesn’t fully implode before the Republican debates, so why would she help to ensure such implosion now before the Republican debates have even begun?
