Doesn’t Trump have to invoke executive privilege - even for presidential communications - before she can claim it applies? Have the subpoena ready and make her answer, unlike what the Republicans let them all get away with. Let’s have this fight.
Two things about that:

There is a question about the period between election and inauguration. No court has ruled on it, but an argument can be made, and probably will be.

Even after inauguration, not everything can be covered by “executive privilege.” Two relevant cases: (a) where actions or conversations had little to with a President’s constitutional responsibilities; and (b) even when actions or conversations had to do with a President’s constitutional responsibilities, the need for secrecy is outweighed by a legitimate need expressed by a different branch of government.
