Discussion: HHS Demands Deutch Apologize For Public Remarks On Abuse Of Migrant Kids

Hayes argues that the majority of allegations filed fall under the category of “‘inappropriate sexual behaviors ‘ involving solely UAC (unaccompanied alien children) and not staff or any other adults.”

Oh, well in THAT CASE I guess it’s O.K. to abuse them as they are “just kids”. /s

Separating kids is an abuse in and by itself!

One dumpster fire after another.

We need Jimmy Breslin back. These people couldn’t pour piss out of a boot with directions on the heel.

In what world does the use of “vulgar language” get characterized as sexual abuse? I call BS and for a release of the actual data. Btw, even if it is sexual conduct between the UAMs, by definition, they are minors, and HHS is responsible for their well-being. If any of that conduct is by use of threat or force or otherwise nonconsensual, particularly depending on age, HHS should be on the hook. They keep these kids confined. They damn well better make sure they are as safe as possible from any threat of harm. I could go on, but it’s s clear I’m with Deutch on this. Meanwhile, this jerk doesn’t say what they’re doing to improve conditions, but only tries to minimize complaints. It’s the GOP way.

May I suggest HHS’s Acting Director of ORR Jonathan Hayes you label inappropriate sexual behaviors" better. It would be great if you categorized vulgar language separate from inappropriate contact by staff. And separate behavior of staff from detainees. It helps keep important data accurate to the behaviors that are happening.

Just kids being (abusing) kids. Its not like HHS has legal responsibility for their safety and care. Oh wait…

And the horse he rode in on. Is this the same guy who claimed that the abuse was OK because it was performed by contractors?

This is like saying, “Honey, I hired R. Kelly to babysit our daughter.”

And the wife replying, “It’s not R.Kelly, It’s Epstein”

There’s a bit of rapey going on either way.

You know you struck a nerve when these assholes start weeping for apologies.

A small example:
My sister-in-law is a die hard Trump supporter and will retweet the most homophobic and racist shit. When my wife calls her on it she goes absolutely bananas. “How can you call me racist!!! You KNOW thats not who I am!!!” then she sulks and goes quiet for a few weeks until she needs help with another bill payment…

Will HHS demand Trump apologize for all his lies about refugees and for lying about how his ICE police are still separating children from their parents and breaking international laws!

How much worse can this get?

Additionally my saying “Fuck” according to HHS is an “inappropriate sexual behavior", if so I’d expect the number to be in the 100’s of thousands rather than the 10’s of thousands reported. HHS, I guess is purchasing a lot of soap to wash those mouths out, a la 1950’s response to swearing.

According to the letter obtained by Politico, HHS’ Acting Director of the Office of Refugee Resettlement Jonathan Hayes said that Deutch mischaracterized the data and “impugned the integrity of hundreds of federal and civil servants.”

(***Emphasis mine.***)

HAHAHAHAHA! Suddenly these guys are worried about civil servants! The same people who told civil servants over the holidays, “Suck it! No paycheck for you!” Fucking wankers…

Let’s hope it’s not Lifebuoy!

These people really really don’t know how to executive do they.

It would have been massively more effective to write a thorough rebuttal letter…but no. They just can’t resist their infantile need to command an apology from a member of a co-equal branch of government.

Not just that they are such a slimy clutch of corrupt thugs, but that they are so whiny. “Boo Hoo, you hurt my fee-fees by saying what I do is not good.”
But, it fits. They are always calling their opposition “snowflakes”, and they DO project all the time to the farthest reaches of fantasy, so…

This is evil: Demonize critics of HHS negligence or worse.

They mean that most of the cases are of one kid against another, rather than inappropriate behavior of a staff member towards a kid. Of course they’re claiming they have no responsibility for that at all, after herding hundreds of kids together into cages and leaving them alone.

17000 in cages and Doofus is having another Kamp built to hold 7000 more children .
