Alas, almost none of what you said above is accurate. But it’s easy to see how this is the impression you would have gotten. Other secretaries of state, including Colin Powell, used non-government servers and even personal accounts to do business. (Powell even reportedly gave Clinton advice about how to hide her use of a non-governmental account. And although there’s no evidence the RNC-administered accounts used by Powell and other Bush administration officials were hacked, there is the minor matter of 22 million messages that couldn’t be accounted for.) The only examples of classified information on the server that I’ve seen involved either schedules (which are rapidly declassified) or, ironically enough, material that was only off bounds to people holding clearances (because if you have a clearance you are not supposed to read or mention any classified material that has been published in the newspaper). And, of course as SoS Clinton had original classification authority over much of that material, hence could declassify it by the stroke of a pen. So not even the nothingburger that’s been pushed in the mainstream.
As to why, I think part of it is the GOP’s virulent, near-insanity level misogyny. But helped along because Clinton worked loyally with and for Obama. So she gets the ricochet of all the racism they couldn’t publicly aim at him.
My guess is that McCabe has a compelling story to tell and will tell it to the IG. If the FBI’s NY field office had been compromised by anti-Clinton forces, then McCabe also knows about that. Knowing how Washington works, whatever McCabe says to the IG won’t stay with the IG.

He has shown disastrously bad judgement in his comments on the original ending of the HRC investigation. (He could’ve released the report and answered his questions and stressed that he was breaking policy to announce the investigations end but would answer NO questions about the investigation due to privacy rules.) When Comey gave his testimony defending the 10d-prior letter he said he would do it again. Rosenstein believed that A) the 7/6/16 Press conference; B) the late October letter and C) down-playing the DJT investigation (which he announced at the hearing!) even if under DoJ approval but again NUTS was grounds to fire. For Bad Judgement. For not following guidelines that had been successfully in place to decades. That ‘is’ defensible. The FBI had a problem with Comey because he is what I consider a stiff-necked man. He believes absolutely in his own probably. Now the ‘old’ way of expressing that was ‘his **** don’t stink.’ So he ‘is’ a man of honor but he is also a man of flawed judgement who made error after error and then doubled down and compounded the errors. I ‘would’ trust him to be unapproachable by Trump threats, but what he did has set up all these other people to be ‘reassigned’ or outright fired. I don’t care if McCabe is on ‘terminal leave’ he was pushed out by DJT, ie FIRED.
You are correct about slow waking (the term I read in the coverage) but it isn’t “if DOJ policy was.” It is DOJ policy and has been for decades. I know I ran into it years ago in a situation involving a local election, and I have been hearing reference to it ever since.

Frankly I’m so goddamned confused by this development. McCabe was trying to hold back Strzok? Strzok was pushing Comey? Comey fell for a widely known Russian disinformation campaign? McCabe fell for Strzok’s girlfriend Comey while pushing him to Russia? Somebody put it in pictures and words of one syllable, send it to me and cc it to Congress and the WH.
BTW, the IG investigation looks like the kind of witch hunt Spankee’s always complaining about, but I’m so confused I don’t remember why I thought that.
Their problem was that a female Democrat named Clinton had the unmittigated audacity to challenge their divine right to rule the US by running against their party’s candidate and that the emails were a weapon they could get the media to go along with using to smear her to the public.
There was no statue of limitations on the investigation so there was no reason to fast track. Trump’s own tweets have exposed Donald’s real problem with McCabe…his wife ran as a Democrat. Trump demands full and complete loyalty of everyone in the federal government and their relatives to his Russian Mafia Family.
Apparently, providing a congressman with intel he requested and to help preserve it from Trump’s anticipated obstructionism and interference is a big conspiracy to undermine Trump’s presidency and more evidence of Obama committing crimes. Frankly, Judicial Watch should be added to the list of people who should be indicted for obstruction. The propaganda war to destroy the Mueller investigation needs to be punished.
Also, it doesn’t matter that Strzok wrote the draft of the infamous Comey Letter…no no…because he was concerned about the timing of the release and violating the never-reported-on-Faux-News DOJ/FBI written policy against doing such things…

According to Wikipedia, that missile is 21.5 ft tall. Actually that Fox photo also appears on the Wiki page and the caption says it is the deck of the USS Lake Erie (a guided missile cruiser). I expect that the bell is big like the ship. Warships have big bells.
