Hillary should look for someone named Obama that has awesome oratorical skills, a constitutional background and that has fought back against the crazy for years but isn’t Barack but is just like him.

I’m continually amazed that the GOP leadership…and some of it’s lesser members…pick fights they know they cannot possibly win. It’s not just the continual votes to repeal the ACA, although that’s certainly relevant. Cruz shut down the government and he can’t possibly be so stupid as to believe he would prevail. Didn’t happen. Now this thing with the unknown nominee for the Supreme Court. They will look good for their rabid base, but the rest of the country will be even more alienated (if that’s possible). Mitch has to know this can’t end well for his party, yet he motors on, driving the pace car for the lemmings right over the cliff. How can we possibly measure Stupidity on a scale like this?
I agree GP. Even on a strategic level, something for 7+ years now the Republicans have failed at badly, what they gain from the SC obstruction IMO is nothing.
No Right leaning voters were added to their ledger by this move since they were already 'in camp". On the other hand, many Democrats that might have stayed home in November will be energized to vote as will lots of Independents/Progressives who also shudder at the ill-fated attempt to de-legitimize Obama’s entire tenure. So far, even with unprecedented obstruction, in this they have already failed as some our the more somber real journalists have well noted his accomplishments.
Strange too that history will long record the legacy of the Republicans since 2007: to obstruct, to deny, to subvert and destroy the will of the people, all in an effort to hurt a black Democrat.
