Discussion: Here Are All The People Anti-Islam Pam Geller Has Compared Herself To

Discussion for article #236154

For Geller to compare herself to Malala or Rosa Parks to me is
well it’s offensive. Geller hasn’t got near the courage of Malala and besides this beautiful young lady (Malala) is MUSLIM!! And supposedly Geller is anti-Muslim so on several levels Geller’s off base.
And as for Rosa? Jeebers
Here’s another person of great courage. Geller isn’t worthy to tie Rosa’s shoes.

Geller is a pretty disgusting individual. And it’s probably true that she was looking to incite violence, which makes her both stupid and dangerous. But none of that really matters to me. I’m not going to say, “I support free speech, but
” Freedom of speech has value precisely because speech has the power to offend or anger. She wanted to make people angry. So what? People of all religions need to have their faith mocked.

Has anyone noticed that everyone that Geller has compared herself to has either been arrested, had to go into hiding or has been wounded or killed?

She is a racist hater
no wonder Hannity likes her.

She is exactly like them
except for the whole thing about agitating a group of people or pushing for their exclusion from the US society. The others fought or are fighting for inclusion. Expanded rights, so the only right she is fighting for is the right to exclude. Thus putting two “rights” at direct conflict.

I’m really disappointed in Pam. She missed Mother Teresa, The Virgin Mary, Eleanor Roosevelt among others. Actually I think she’s either trying out for a cheap cosmetic company’s spokeswoman or as second runner-up in a J-Lo look-alike contest (with sincere apologies to J-Lo).

Please stop talking about this woman. It’s so what she wants more than anything. She’s wretched. That’s all we need to know. Let’s move on please.

Let’s just compare her to Ted Cruz
because
well, you know.

She’s a conservative. That makes her a born victim.

Geller, you do not fit among the Heroines you compare yourself too.

You see, you are nothing but a simple ass tea party hoe, who likes to suck on puny pricks!

Charlie Hebdo did not just do cartoons featuring Mohammed. They also did cartoons of the Pope, Jesus, the prophets of the old testament, and Israel
 among many, many others.
If Geller’s “contest” had also included cartoons of Jesus and Moses, then, okay, I would say she had a point comparing to Charlie Hebdo.

Victimhood is powerful!
 and often bathetic.

As an African American, I am very offended when white people use the N-word in a pejorative manner. What Geller did was akin to standing on street corner, yelling it, because she knew it would be offensive. That would be totally legal. It would also be illegal for a mob of black people to beat her to a pulp. I would criticize such a mob if they did that, and could even defend Geller’s right to insult them. But I would also say she was an ignorant bigot who got what she deserved.

With free speech, comes responsibility. And with society comes the duty to respect other people. The Gellers of the world want the right to be offensive, without bearing the responsibility of repercussions from those she offends.

Unaccountably, she neglects the two people she is most comparable to in recent history:

Streicher was hanged at Nuremberg in 1946 for crimes against humanity. Ley would probably also have been hanged except that he committed suicide before he could be brought to trial.

Being Jewish, you’d think that Geller would be aware of how closely her chosen career path parallels those of Streicher and Ley in as much as Geller would do for Muslims what Streicher and Ley did for Jews.

And we’re still talking about Pam Geller why exactly?
