Heitkamp faces a tough re-election battle in 2018 as
she runs for a second term in a solidly red state
where Trump won 64 percent of the vote.
In two years … anyone who runs on the slogan …
Make America Great Again
Should be a shoe in —
In other words, the positions she wanted went to others.
It was the facial hair that did her in…
This administration will be such a monstrosity that no one who values their reputation will want to have any association with it.
She will be more use to the usurper as a “bipartisan” beard for his policies then in his cabinet.
Billionaires and retired Generals don’t have to worry about this now do they?
And the other losers could care less about their reputations as long as they briefly have some power to screw over others.
As a member of what party?
I don’t think that all of them realize what history will say about this administration…not even the generals. The billionaires have never cared about such things. they expect to buy any reputation that they may need; it worked for Ford, Carnegie, Rockefeller, etc.

It’s not like being in Trump’s cabinet would be a huge attraction coming from being a U.S. Senator. She’s her own boss in the Senate. She’d have Trump as her boss in the cabinet, and she’d really have even less job security – she serves at the pleasure of the President. Trump could get her to resign from the Senate and replace her in six months. And of course, any chance she has for long-term prospects as a Democrat would disappear. Good call, Senator Heitkamp.
Honestly, she might just not have been good-looking enough, given what we’re hearing about Trump’s selection process…
Since she met with Trump, I care nothing about what happens to this fool.
Heitkamp, I get it. She at least represents her ND constituents. Similarly, Manchin, I get it. He at least represents his WV constituents. I don’t care for them at all, but I get it, they are from deepest red states. I’d trash them into pieces if they joined Team Fascist, but so far, that hasn’t happened. Yet.
Tulsi Gabbard, on the other hand – that one, Bannon’s useful idiot, I will never forgive. Never.
shoe in where? Posterior?

Is there a more North Dakota name than Heidi Heitkamp? Just askin’.
“Heitkamp faces a tough re-election battle in 2018 as she runs for a second term in a solidly red state where Trump won 64 percent of the vote.”
Any place that gave PEOTUS 64% of the vote no longer deserves to be called a state - is should be declared a disaster area.
It worked better for the children than for the patriarchs.
My thoughts exactly. I know politicians ask for money. I get it. But my first sign that something was up with Tulsi Gabbard was 3 or 4 years ago when I began, out of the blue, getting email solicitations for her campaign - in Hawaii (I live on the east coast). No explanation of who she was, what she stood for, just a relentless “I need your help” message. I didn’t give anything at the time, and now I never would. Everything she touches wreaks of pure opportunism, culminating in her cozying up to the Trump team.
