Discussion: Health Care And Comey's Firing Fuel Voters' Anger With GOP

The telltale odor of vomit wafting though the forum is always a good indicator of troll.

Vomit combined with the scent of sweaty socks.

States already have a lot of flexibility under Medicaid because of all the various waivers available to create innovative programs. Besides, the Republicans can’t change the statute, which has been called one of the most complex pieces of law ever devised by human beings, through the budget reconciliation process. The legal requirements would remain in place, while the optional home and community-based services programs, where the real innovation and creativity is occurring, would be first on the chopping block.

Cost-effective innovation and creativity.

Translation: “I’m doing it in a way so no opposing points of view can be expressed.”

Smoldering fires will turn into full blown rages by November 6, 2018. Just keep reminding folks.

Exactly, Under Medicaid, costly and unpopular institutional services are required; cost-effective home and community services are optional.

Be interesting to see if this makes any difference in the Montana special election next week, or the one in Georgia’s 6th in June. Those will be an interesting picture of how much damage Donny-Boy did to himself and his party.

If I were Quint or Ossoff, my whole campaign right now would be “You can’t count on Republicans to protect you from Trump.”

I’m always reminded that the US is the “richest, most compassionate country in the world” when I read this.

BTW: Once again, Oliver nails it.

The thing that still amaze’s me is that Drumpf’s support base is the so-called “Christian” right, who claim to use the bible as their guide to life and eternal salvation.

Seems like the bible would rail against lying, treason, and greed; and would have something catchy like “love thy neighbor”…

Apparently it doesn’t…

Illinois has its own GOP issues. The guv literally funded much of the GOP campaign war chest in 2016 and owns the GOP’ers in the lege. State D’s have been rallying the troops all over the state with anti-Rauner/anti-Trump blueprints for change. Good!

Cutting $880 billion from Medicaid only gives states “flexibility” in deciding which services they can’t afford to cover. MacArthur is a bald faced liar.

Trump: Why do we need elections? Let Electoral College vote for me directly.
Ryan: No worries, voter suppression, and gerrymandering will fix all we need. Some will die of TrumpCare making it easy for us to be in power forever…

Kind of on the topic of liberal elites, I have a question.
Who is better—Josh at his drawing, or Putin playing the piano?
"#TschaikowskyCompWinner " was really stunning, don’t you think? Not a wrong note.

This is long, but well written. It’s a nice lens with which to view how the GOP got to their ugly place.
