A lawyer for former U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert on Thursday called leaks regarding the federal hush-money case against the Illinois Republican “unconscionable” and said he may ask the court to investigate.
Sure, forget about the allegations regarding sexual misconduct with minors - allegations that seem to have legs. Nothing to see there, of course. But those darn leaks, now that, that has to stop! How can they possibly keep everything hushed up from the riffraff if someone’s going to leak?? Our elites deserve better! Next thing you know, he may actually have to serve some jail time.

I’d have to be one of those who say I really don’t see the problem here.
Hastert was the Speaker of the House, third in line for the presidency. You don’t rise that high in politics without doing some nasty things; things you’ve gotten away with.
Will Hastert be indicted? Probably. We he be convicted? Depends on how pricey his lawyer is. Republicans after all, believe money can solve all problems.
But one thing it CAN’T solve is people KNOWING what you did. Hastert realizes this and that’s why the Hush Money. Most Republicans are terrified of prison because they think it means they will be cornholed to death. But Hastert has some conscience down in there somewhere. He’s terrified that people will KNOW what he did and will treat him like scum for the rest of his life. Call it The O.J… Effect.

Unconscionable huh. Can not be conscienced I guess. Just to much for a guy with a queer eye for the short guys to bear. Denny has been besmirched and impugned to the point of unconscionability. His name is being drug through the mud and he feels tallywhacked. NAMBLA has rescinded his honorary knighthood and the BSoA have banned him from all future campfires and show and tell sessions.
