Hopefully this is the first of 1,000s of lawsuits against the chemical industries. Their callous disregard for life has got to stop. The only thing that will do it is a major hit in their wallets.
The lawsuit alleges that first responders who maintained part of an arbitrary 1.5-mile evacuation radius around the chemical facility were not informed by Arkema of the explosions early in the morning of Aug. 31. Those responders were injured from “a release of toxic chemicals,” the lawsuit says.

Asked about the health effects of the dramatic emissions spike, state
environmental commission spokeswoman Andrea Morrow said “all measured
concentrations were well below levels of health concern” and “local
residents should not be concerned about air quality issues related to
the effects of the storm.”
Running to replace Scott Pruitt as EPA director and TX lying asshole of the year?
Their callous disregard for life has got to stop.

This is going to be a huge environmental problem, for a long time.
Asked about the health effects of the dramatic emissions spike, state environmental commission spokeswoman Andrea Morrow said “all measured concentrations were well below levels of health concern” and “local residents should not be concerned about air quality issues related to the effects of the storm.” The federal Environmental Protection Agency issued a similar statement.
EPA said the same thing wrt 9/11 first responders. They lied.
