The sheer amount of time I spent defending him here from people who cursed him for being weak and a tool of the right during the all-too-brief time he was majority leader because he didnât âgo LBJâ and use his mighty majority leader superpowers to make Democrats stop acting like Democrats still chafes a bit.

Weâre advocates for our cause.
Except McConnellâs cause was to obstruct the functioning of our government. Thatâs an inherently anti-Democratic and anti-American pursuit, it puts the people of this country and this country at large, in danger, personally and economically.
I do hope Reid continues advocacy when heâs out, weâll need all the help we can just to slow Trumpâs wrecking of our country, before we can begin to rebuild.
