Harry was right about the so-called journalism on display. I hope there’s follow-up to this, lest some people get the absolutely wrong idea about those “charming” Koch boys/robber barons.

I have a great, loving brother who insists he’s Libertarian. I’ve tried repeatedly to get him to understand what Libertarianism really means. The problem is we were raised to “live and let live,” though my Dad was a die-hard Democrat – which rubbed off on me. After many a conversation, I know deep down my brother is truly a Democrat at heart but he absolutely detests the fact so many politicians today are in the pockets of the uber-wealthy. Me, too, but I’m pragmatic (mostly). Myself, I am registered neither Dem or Repub so I won’t get all that crap in my mailbox every season.

Seriously, though, thank you for this list, as I am going to copy & paste it for him to read. He would not at all support things such as abolishing Medicare or Social Security, etc. Same goes for the Highway Department and FAA, etc. Most “Libertarians” today do not really understand all that our federal government really does for the economy, commerce, science, etc.

“I thought the different programs they have had, the conversations they had, addressed really interesting questions,” Brzezinski said about the event.

Despite that fact that she isn’t someone who’s openly hostile or even offensive, I truly detest Mika on a very visceral level. To me, she’s the poster child for “limousine liberals”, and she’s the sort of “soccer mom feminist” who has more of a problem with Miley Cyrus’ attire (or lack thereof) than Rep. Marsha Blackburn’s policies. She’s often held up by Arianna Huffington and other powerful women, like Oprah, as being some sort of trailblazing feminist when she’s a very weak, useless, timid, clown who plays the role of newsroom hall monitor with her grunts, eye rolling, and “boys, behave” commentary. I also find her constant cowering and kowtowing to Joe and the other men on the show to be just a little scary. I really wish she’d go away.

I didn’t know that “Morning Joe” was even on cable any longer, or relevant for that matter? So much I’ve been missing by not following the “liberal” media, and sticking to AJN.

I don’t think that’s much of a problem. People would have to actually watch the show to get that impression, and it’s my belief that if you subtracted media types, pols, and their staffers from their ratings you’d find only about a 5 people were actually watching.
