Discussion: Harry Reid: Hillary Clinton Email Controversy Is A 'Hiccup'

Discussion for article #234162

I hate getting hiccups.

Post-Hillary presser: trumped -up scandal, media determined to use ā€œhotā€ words to keep scandal mode going. because it’s out there. Right, Cokie?

Let us be honest here…this is one of those ā€œscandalsā€ which most people aren’t going to understand and that there really isn’t a way to make it more than a curiosity. Most people don’t really care if Clinton was using the right email address or not. The Republicans have spent billions of dollars trying to find a scandal to use against the Democrats that was needed elsewhere.

Quite frankly, they’ve been desperately trying to create a Democratic version of Watergate since Clinton was elected the first time and it hasn’t worked. Why? Most of this stuff is either highly technical (like this ā€˜scandal’) or just does not break the law (Lewinsky). Honestly, the GOP keep doing this and they keep hurting our reputation over seas.

I was in England when the Lewinsky scandal came to an end and the Brits I met there thought that the GOP was made up of a bunch of Puritanical morons.

My, my the normally lethargic press corps was a wriggling mass of mumbles and grumbles that clearly elevated HRC into the Prince William level much less that of a presidential candidate…another right wing backfire.
Why even ABC’s normally indolent pet Bush attack dog Jon Karl was shipped to NYC from the White House press corps to offer 20 or 30 smear-based, fevered questions…heavens!

But… but… but… BENGHAZI!!! It’s all proven by her use of a personal email account!!! Can’t you fools see?!! They should open up another Congressional Hearing on Benghazi and Clinton’s use of personal email!

Besides, the only way Republicans were able to get Bill was a hackneyed scheme of digging into his personal life, then trying to either humiliate himself or lie about it. If they can’t go fishing in that deep of a pond, then baby’s going to starve.
