Don’t forget we already know that Trump doesn’t pay taxes.

Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has released 15 years of tax returns

It’s disgraceful what Trump has been able to get away with.

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who released just one year of tax returns when he ran for president in 2016, said more than a month ago that he would release a decade’s worth of returns. He and his campaign have said they will release his tax returns by Monday’s tax filing deadline.

Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There’ll be sun!

To the 50% of the public who don’t pay attention, the Masters is far more vital*** to the nation…and baseball is getting started!!!

*** Who knows who’ll sink the winning putt!!!

Look, Rethugs, here’s another Dem that apparently doesn’t have anything to hide by releasing taxes and actually pays taxes. Shocking, I know, but honest. You guys wouldn’t know anything about honesty.

"On March 20, while campaigning in New Hampshire, [O’Rourke ] was asked how many years of tax returns he would release.

“That’s a great question. I haven’t thought about that,” O’Rourke said. “I do plan on releasing our tax returns, and I want to do that as soon as we can. Certainly last year, but we’ll find out what the standard is and release that.”

O’Rourke said he didn’t have a timeline on releasing them but wanted to do it “sooner rather than later.”

There is a lot Beto O’Rourke hasn’t thought about.

Bernie will release heavily redacted versions.

Has the Democratic Party instituted any rule about candidates having to release tax returns? Is a minimum number of years specified? Are redactions allowed?

Bernie’s Independent, he makes his own rules. Rather like Rand Paul self certifying himself as an ophthalmologist.

If he’s running as a Democrat, he will have to abide by the party’s rules.

Which is why I asked about those rules.

Sorry, I thought you were being snarky.

Me?

Anyway, yes, it was a serious question. What rules about the release of tax returns has the party put in place?

Thanks for the info. I like Beto O’Rourke but I absolutely refuse to vote for any Dem in the primaries who won’t release at least 10 years of tax returns.

As a Dem, it’s disheartening to see someone who has her family’s income being as ungenerous as this reports. 1 to 3% charitable giving on that kind of income should be embarrassing to her.

**Why you have nothing to hide, you release all of your goddamn taxes like a Boss :muscle: **
Bernie the millionaire and his thief wife Jane better release 30 years of taxes

This used to be normal. We have to remind ourselves of that, because so much that used to be unthinkably outrageous just a couple of years ago now doesn’t even manage to stay in the news for a day.

Only 4%? That’s completely outrageous.

Compare:

[Kamala] Harris and her husband reporting giving a small portion of their income — often about 1% to 3% a year — to charitable causes. Harris reported no charitable contributions some years when she was California’s attorney general.

To be fair, they paid a substantial amount in taxes. More than most wealthy people pay. So it’s six of one, half a dozen of another.
