When grifters collide.
I’m struggling to reconcile Harris’ profession as a pastor with his ready willingness to use nefarious means in pursuit of earthly gains.
Update: I just checked 2,000 years of human history. I got it now.
Calling his son an ego-maniac on the stand earlier in the day is not a legal stratagem I would have gone with, but there ya go.
Harris is facing the reality of the modern metro South.
“His” district has a strong Democrat voting base block and stretches out to the remaining rural areas of the state that still vote heavy GOP. Population and migration shifts show that the Blue migration from northern states is very real. Scales are tipping. Harris (and GOP allies) knew that if he didn’t win in this election and run as a future incumbent, then that seat would most likely be lost for a very long time as population continues to grow. .
Desperate people do criminal things.

I’m not sure how John Harris can stay where he is, given he knew about this; said nothing and still took the job as an Asst. USA.
Surely his actions calls, at minimum, for a bar review.

I guess 2000 years is probably sufficient, but it isn’t an exhaustive examination of the matter. You could easily go back a couple thousand more.

Here’s Marion Warren. Interesting that he has recently resigned from the judicial branch to take another job at one of those “sterling” law schools.
So a woman in Texas was sentenced to 5 years in jail for casting a single illegal vote, not understanding that she was not permitted to vote. So what would the sentence be for directing several dozens or more illegal votes? Somewhere north of 100 years, I’m guessing. Sorry, I’m not very good at math.
