The most garbage-like aspect of the compromise is that it only funds the government through the fall. The national parks, FBI, TSA, IRS, ICE, NOAA, NASA, etc. are all intended to be permanent; therefore, their CR should be permanent to match. The Army is limited to two years by the Constitution but there is no reason to limit anything else. At a bare minimum, the salary and benefits of every federal employee should be a permanent CR, unless they resign, are terminated for cause, or their job is eliminated by legislation. There is no theory of nothing why workers should have to suffer when Republicans play these foolish shutdown games.
So. What I want to know is if, after Robert Mueller’s report publicly identifies 45* as a Russian agent, will Hannity be indicted for failing to register as a foreign agent? When he exclaims, “What?! I didn’t know!” will it save him?
