“By the way, special thank you to all our friends in the media that were tuning in tonight, maybe for the first time. And all the lies you’ve heard about me are not true,” he said just before ending his show.
The hypocrite doth protest too much.
Lies. lies, lies:
Best, Sean.
“By the way, special thank you to all our friends in the media that were tuning in tonight, maybe for the first time. And all the lies you’ve heard about me are not true,” he said just before ending his show."
The lies that he himself had been peddling and pushing for the past 24 hours. Quite literally teasing the notion of him resigning on the air in order to boost his numbers for the evening.
My own twisted desire, is that before Hannity eventually does go off the air, I want someone to just beat the crap out of him, so I can watch the bully boy curl up in the fetal position, start sucking his thumb and cry for Mommy while wetting his pants. On live TV.
More than any of them, Hannity is just a completely empty suit; dump as a rock who pretends he is smart, 2nd rate broadcast talent who pretends he is top of the game, coward who loves to preen as a tough guy. His entire schtick is a combination of being propped up because he is such a crappy broadcaster (re: Hannity and Colmes), and badly copying the likes of Limbaugh, O’Reilly etc. Nothing original ever.
And we expected him to say what?
Sean Hannity: The Cream of the Crap
I’m sure the lies about you are not true, that’s why they are lies. Now can you address the truthful statements that have been made about you?
I’ve heard people complain that the title of Richard Hofstadter’s The Paranoid Style in American Politics is condescending, but when we’ve gone from tag lines like Murrow’s Good Night & Good Luck and Cronkite’s That’s The Way It Is to Hannity’s All The Lies You’ve Heard About Me Are Not True, I think that title just looks fucking prescient.
I’ve wondered about that. I mean, I heard that he is a warm, kind, open-hearted and generous man…
Fact: Not True Lies == Truth.
Let’s face it, without Faux where’s he gonna go? No one wants a walking-talking time bomb except maybe some rightwing terrestrial radio station. That’s his only other option. Since this guy strikes me as yet another completely vain asshole with a narcissistic personality to match, TV will continue to be his preferred medium. They’ll have to shove him out the door before he willingly takes all his marbles and walks away from that gig. If any more prurient bullshit comes up on this scumbag though, I think the powers that be at Faux might just think this lone guy isn’t worth it to them anymore…and he’ll be shown the door too.
What about Steve Douchebag? Aren’t there allegations still out there about him? Seems to me they still have a ways to go to clean house, don’t they? I don’t watch Faux, never have, but I love that these people are getting their just rewards.
Redundant
And he’s out the door regardless.
He thinks if he hangs around, he’ll be the next Billy-O, with all of the “prestige”, money and power…
I too would like to see him get a comeuppance, although my preference would be humiliation and penury, a laughingstock, when FauxNews tips him out on his butt.
“All the lies you’ve heard about me are not true”
That reads like a logic puzzle.
Saying all the lies about me are not true implies that some of the lies may be true. But of course, lies are, by nature, not true.
What an idiot.
That book has nothing to do with Hannity. Either you misread it, or didn’t read it at all.
Mmm, delicious primetime world salad.
He used to have (maybe still does) an AM radio show. Its all about the money, with a topping of the ego massaging that any such name branding enterprise brings. A long time ago, Hannity fancied himself as the heir to Rush Limbaugh, but he never really amassed the fanbase. Then FOX pitched him with Alan Colmes, and he just fell in love with himself on camera.
But what about the truths that we’ve heard about him? Such as …
• offering to by President Obama a one-way ticket “back to Kenya.”
• claiming that Hillary Clinton’s campaign was secretly getting her ro “sober up.”
• his Pants-on-Fire claim that President Obama “said he’s going to bring in 250,000 (Syrian and Iraqi) refugees into this country.”
• his lie that 8.3 million fewer people were working after Obama’s first term.
• and of course his repeated lie that there isn’t a scientific consensus on climate change.
