Haley got her eyes on the 2020 election.

So is Trixie Haley a #Metoo with Donnie?

I know that he was elected

Uh, no, he was not

No, but she can’t say that…

Haley may have her eye on 2020 but, after years of flaming misogyny and racism, how likely is Tramp’s base to vote for a woman of color? Um…

And it’s also likely that, assuming he isn’t actually in prison yet, if he doesn’t get the renom, Tramp will run as an Indie and take “his” voters with him.

The 'pubs are well and truly f*cked and it couldn’t happen to a more deserving party.

Another Trumpster heading for the exit at the one year point, if she makes it that far.

I love the timing. Likely to take Trump off-message right before the Alabama special election. Because what Haley just said also applies to Moore.

It’ll be interesting to see if this becomes a pattern. If, after Powell and Haley and even Ivanka, other women in the Administration speak up or resign.

Pay back for not being considered as Tillerson’s replacement?

No woman and no woman of color, never, though it’s a tossup as to which they hate worse. But if the destruction of Rs is on the horizon as was predicted as soon as his name was tossed around as a hopeful, we’ll need to be patient.

Has there ever been a person in politics who don’t look in a mirror and see the reflection greeting them as Mr. (or even Ms). President. It’s the brass ring, it’s the big enchilada, it’s the path to money, fame and fortune, the latter something PP can confirm.

I still think Charlie Baker (Gov. of MA) and Nikki Haley are going to be the “not-Trump” ticket from the right. They won’t get anywhere in the primary but the political press will get a communal “thrill up their leg” at the thought of a moderate GOP ticket with a woman on board. It wouldn’t surprise me if we see headlines from the NYT such as “Nikki Haley, first credible woman to run for President”.

And she was for the Confederate flag before she was against it. Granted the Charleston murders were a shock to the system and she may simply have felt it had to be done. But she may be doing that Ben Sasse thing of pointedly sounding reasonable every now and then with an eye to reaching a national electorate when being the least Trumpian is a winning look.

Once again the great minds are thinking alike.

She was elected in SC; doesn’t get much more Trump-base-y than that.

All women should be heard!

“I think any woman who has felt violated or felt mistreated in any way, they have every right to speak up,” she said.

And then be soundly ridiculed, scorned and ignored as the party faithful dutifully vote for the (R) because reasons.

Translation: no, I don’t want Tillerson’s job

To be honest, unless there’s more she said I don’t think she really did support in any particular way the women who accused Trump. She repeatedly broadened her answer out to all women; for those particular ones she said they were already “heard.” So it strikes me as wanting to be heard one way by a certain segment of the audience but leaving herself an out if she gets a call from headquarters.

Certainly no clouds or shadows…

Nice idea. Just a day or two ago an ex–Fox news anchor came forward and said Trump tried to kiss her without her consent in an elevator. It didn’t create the slightest ripple. Trump didn’t even have to bother denying it and accuse her of lying.

But, they certainly shouldn’t be heard a second time when the accusations might accidentally be heard in an environment (allegations against men finally sticking) and time (not right before an election when ‘partisan witch hunt’ drowns them out) that they might actually have have impact and result in actions taken.
